In all seriousness...hope he feels better. Keep the fluids down. Rest.

Tylenol and Motrin should only be given every 6 hours, and only at the appropriate, weight based doses for a child.

6 hrs is the usual rec, but you alternate them every 3 to get better fever coverage.

Weight based dosing is the appropriate method as well.

Acetaminophen and ibuprofen are both cleared from the body through different routes, liver and kidney respectively.

That is why you can alternate them without issue as long as you maintain the 6 hours between each dose.
