It's not, but the decision and changes need to be made accordingly. I have a hard time leaving out a possible 1 loss conference runner up for an undefeated team that didn't play in a championship game, and the current system leaves that open. Hell, had LSU not beat UGA this year, it would have happened.

for an organization that argues it's too many games for the student athletes to have a playoff like every other level of college fb pretty hard. They want the bowls to remain and have lengthened the season to 12 games with a 13th for some conferences since saying it's too many games. If they are worried about too many games they would go back to 11 game season and have a 16 team playoff...but it will never happen.

This should never be a criterion for getting into the CFP.
The only way having that as a requirement works is if all conferences across the board have schedules in which all teams in the conference play each other and have a true champion. This will never happen, so the requirement for it should never happen.
Not to mention, what if Northwestern had pulled an upset over Ohio State? Does Northwestern deserve to be in the CFB because they had one good game again tOSU? They would be a 9-4 team getting to play while much better teams ahead of them get the shaft because NW had the benefit of playing in a shitty division.

Only if you get rid of the conference championship games. There is always a chance that a lesser team can beat a playoff contender in a championship game.

should be the BEST TEAMS .. 6 at most (1 & 2 get a bye)...
so that 1&2 positions mean something other than Top 4.
PICS SHOULD NOT be forced !
the way you have it Conference winners would get in, even if not the best teams.
