The awards people care about. I'm gonna try to stray away from categories like best RPG and best action adventure game because they're literally all in the same categories with eachother so, yeah. There is literally over 40 categories and some of them are absolutely stupid. I'll just cherry pick the ones that are the most impactful.

The last two years have been very meh for game, either AAA flops, or lack of good ones.

I love them, but haven't heard a lot of good things about this one.

Red Dead may get it because of recency bias, but we’ll see. Strong candidates this year but God of War to me seem to have the least amount of flaws based on what everyone else said.

I had never played a God of War game and I was hooked from the start. My only complaint is how complicated the combat is. I liked it when I was playing, but took a break. When I came back to it and wanted to explore the other realms, I had forgotten everything and just didn't have it in me to learn the system again.
I still have so much to do in that game. I'll get to it at some point.
