Does this mean JBE gets a second term then?

Come on down, Governor Bel Edwards, for a 2nd term.

The voting process is just a formality at this point now that Kennedy isn't running.
JBE really isn't as bad as I thought he would be, considering he is a Democrat. Yes, he raised taxes and he can go screw himself for that. But all things considered, he hasn't been the flaming libtard SJW I expected him to be.
With that said, I still won't be voting for him. Didn't vote for him the first time and won't be voting for him this time. I really hope someone can step up and challenge him.

So it’s Rispone vs. JBE?
Posted on 12/3/18 at 9:16 am to 90proofprofessional
If Kennedy really was not going to run, he had no business waiting this long to announce it. People were waiting months for him to shite or get off the pot.
Looks like it's only going to be Rispone or Abraham.
frick.

Yep. This is going to be a lot like years ago when that unknown woman from the northern part of the state ran against Jindal. Bloodbath.

Widen I-10 and get the groundwork for the new bridge built, and I’ll volunteer for JBE.

Tried to tell you. He wasn't going from Treasurer>Senator>Governor in the blink of an eye. He's more stable than that. Not going to be one-and-done Senator with unlimited terms. He's set for life.

He's been a good Senator, so I am not upset with this decision. While I would like to see him as Governor, I think this is still a strong move for our State. My concern is we don't have a strong candidate now to challenge Westpoint

Kennedy is a terrible candidate. GOP actually has a chance now that he is out.

Uh he has been.
He's the political twin of Edwin Edwards that's a lot better at hiding his corruption.
In 3 years under JBE, we have some of the highest taxes in the country with nothing to show for it besides more glut in government, massive brain drain of our best and brightest out of state, businesses refusing to invest capital because JBE is putting red tape out of the arse and is sue happy.
Just because he doesn't act like fricking Cory Booker doesn't mean everything's fine.

Lol no. This clears the path for Rispone or Abraham.
JBE is only in office because the LaGOP couldn’t figure out who wanted to run.

Under Article IV, Section 2, a candidate for governor is required to: have attained the age of 25 years. be an elector. have been a citizen of the United States, and, have been a citizen of Louisiana for at least the preceding five years.
Screw it. I'm running now. I'm rolling back the tax increases and removing the tax on online sales. I used to work for LSU and I KNOW that the university system wastes money and where they waste it at. Cut the SJW programs, all the department travel for various initiatives that teach and promote things that are completely ignored when they return to campus, and raise TOPS requirements to achieving a 24 composite with 19 in Math and an 18 in English along with a 3.00 GPA.
