It is really not at all analogous. John McCain was a US senator for ~30 years. He wrote and implemented policies that had dramatic (and often disastrous) effects on this country. Further, some of those policies ran completely counter to the promises he made to his constituents.
What did Sarah Palin ever do to warrant this constant and undying scorn and ridicule from the left? This ain’t 2008 any more, comrade! Why can’t y’all drop the hate? She lost her bid to be VP, and she’s now entirely irrelevant. She’s harmless.
Do you know of any conservatives that harbor this kind of hate for Sargent Shriver or Geraldine Ferraro or even Tim Kaine? Joe Freakin Lieberman or Edmund Muskie?
