Um yes!
That's exactly what we don't need. What makes you think that the government would come up with a good solution on how to regulate companies like Google? And why would you want them to?
Hasn't government tricked up enough things already?
Why not let the market forces and the free market penalize google and twitter for their biases? And why not come up with a conservative alternative to these companies as Fox News did to counter the liberal media ?

tell you what, if you dont like dirty air then stop breathing it, let us know how that works out for ya.
google is into everything and everything is google, its like a virus infecting everything and you cant avoid it or stop using it if you tried

Ok. At an individual level I've chosen to fight that by not using Google products. If there are other steps I can take, I will.

This is a horrible illustration. There are other search engines out there. In fact, there are many of them. And no, not using Google isn't life threatening!

Quite simple because Goole which owner of Android. Android has close to 85% of the market share WORLD WIDE. How do you propose creating a conservative alternative when 85% of all computers & devices are running on Android globally?
Why will advertisers come to your alternative when Google also owns AdWords for which they have a monopoly on pricing for all search engines. The more money you spend on Advertising the higher up the search rankings you go across all SEO platforms--its built into the analytics.
I'm sure you weren't aware of that but it is the reason why Google & Microsoft partnering up with governments is so damn dangerous for democracy long-term.

I'm sure you truly believe you aren't using Google products but you clearly are unaware that you don't have to use Google directly for them to have influence over what you do.
Do you drive a car with a computer screen radio?
Do you have appliances that have wifi?
Do you have an Android phone?
Are you using any Microsoft product?
Do you have email?
Do you use text messaging?
The list goes on and on--these guys have direct and indirect feeds into everything you where technology is around.
The only place you don't have google tracking you is if you are hiking in a forest with no electronics on you or anywhere near you.

Because you don't have that.
Again... example is GAB who was forced out of the USA because their host canceled their contract due to a poster.

So "We don't serve naggers here boy...get out" is good with you as long as it's a private company?
Lolno. He won't agree to that. Here is the paradigm, just so everyone is clear:
Bake the cake you bigot; business license implies consent; muh social contract; protected classes; we wuz slaves; anudda shoa
Google is a private company; "fake news" holocaust; property rights are important; free market provides; go make your own google/telephone/auto manufacturer
So they hammer the baker, who undoubtedly suffers from the regulatory burden and pays into it; forgive the megacorp, who is WITHOUT QUESTION, subsidized at every level, and writes its own regulations.
This is woke capitalism: buy local, sell to queers, bigot!
Sell international, ban the right wing racists!

The swamp is infested with liberals. Tell me how a government entity will be established to monitor social media and decide content without it being moderated by liberals ?
You think it's bad now, wait until your speech is regulated by liberal government bureaucrats with the power, force and finances of the US government to financially bankrupt you for something you posted or searched.

Here is what I don't like: I don't like that Google and other big tech conspire to provide direct F/O pipelines of my information to the government. I hardly consider an entity to clearly working in tandem with the state to be a "private entity". They can suck my nuts.

Private companies shouldn't be allowed to choose who they do business with? How authoritarian of you.

duckduckgo.com for search and the Apple maps app.
duckduckgo also makes a plug-in/app to block Google ad tracking.

You simply break them up.
You simply reverse the purchases that they were allowed to do.

You have that in place now. Congress. This way, at least your damn vote counts. There is NO VOTE with Google. If they want you gone... or out of business... you WILL be.

Period.
