Amazon is a monopoly and needs to be broken up

Antitrusts laws need to be updated for electronic commerce. Bezos and Amazon are currently too powerful and they’re growing. They’re opening a second HQ in Queens, where I grew up, and it’s gonna ruin the city economically. They won’t hire New Yorkers. They’ll probably hire cheap labor from abroad.
At the very least, he USPS should raise rates for Amazon. We are subsidizing that company.

Add Google to that list for sure.
Google is the most dangerous monopoly that has ever existed.

They're headed that way, but I'm sure they are keeping that in the back of their minds and treading the line well.

I agree. Google and YouTube has stifled all competition.
I remember when Yahoo was huge and was in movies. Geocities, personals, answers, etc Now no one cares.
And Dailymotion and Vimeo are hardly competitors to YouTube. Not even close.

Antitrust laws have been on the books since the late 18th century. It’s nothing revolutionary.

Why would they open an office in one of the highest cost of living cities in the world to hire a bunch of cheap foreign labor to work there?
And what cheap foreign labor will be able to afford to live in NYC if they did hire them?
