Plus, the boosters from Little Rock wanted him gone because they felt he was trying to end having any games at all played at War Memorial.
War Memorial is a pit! But on the original subject, Alleva should have never been hired, or at the least fired a long time ago!

LSU really needs a championship caliber AD who knows what he is doing

I know of one prominent LSU alumnus who would fit that role. He's just one State over...

Do you think that Scott W. would take the job if offered? It's still mind boggling that we ended up with Alleva despite the shite storm he was involved with at Duke. I can't believe we even considered him.

I've no idea, but it would be wise for LSU to make him tell them no. At the least make aggy pay him more

He made promises to Will Wade in regards to facilities upgrades and has reneged on those. Unfortunately, Will Wade will be gone as soon as a blue blood opens up

Not true.

There are plans in the works to buy the land the waste treatment facility sits on River Rd next to the water campus, 30+acres with plans to build a new PMAC. They are hoping to build it in partnership with the city of Baton Rouge kind of like how The Shaw Center wa built. Their idea is to be able to also host concerts & whatnot like the Cajun Dome does.

Joe is well aware that bigger schools will come calling for Wade once he starts winning & revitalizes the basketball program.

ETA: This all came straight out of Joe’s mouth back in August. I eavesdropped on a conversation between him & someone else during a lunch meeting.

You should say football championship because we have won multiple championships in the past 10 years.

Why can not the PMAC host concerts? Back in the day, every big act that was anything at all in the music business stopped in Baton Rouge to play that building.

This completely blew my mind. However, the BOS are extremely lazy and did not want to go through the hassle of searching for a new university president even if the incumbent is simply terrible.

Not sure. Never had any big names or semi-big names in my lifetime.

In the 70's and earlier 80's, there was no suitable venue in New Orleans for those concerts. That changed. Also, mores competition from sites in other places.
