Mom is doing some strong trolling actually. Keeps saying shite like "No, that's fine. I'm sure your friend has been there for you throughout your life and caring people are soooo important to have"
I've chimed in with "so, you have a free ticket to Miami I can have now... thanks for the stocking stuffer" or "Dang, mom, and you were going to use that time as a nice mother's day trip as well since it's the same week"

I agree it’s a bitch move taking back the invite. But is that the whole story? My own mother skipped mine and my wife’s graduation. She said she wasn’t able to walk into the arena because she had recently had ankle surgery. But the weekend prior she was able to go to a wedding. And the following weekend she made an anniversary trip. Then again my moms a complete bitch these days and I’m truly thankful I didn’t have to put up with her sorry arse today.

I had a Pop as well. My dad loved the Cowboys and Pop would always pull for the other team and make little comments while smirking just to get under my dad's skin. Twas fun to watch him as a kid wink at me then say something to dad

What are all these names for grandparents? Like one grandfather is paw paw and the other is grandpa. I just grew up with Grandpa A and Grandpa B.

When I turned 1 I made a conscious decision to call my mother's father Peepaw and my father's father Paw Paw
