Auxiliary funds provided by self generated revenue. Parking garages, and other university generated revenue.
No tax payer dollars.
Tranfers from the general fund - just like the other schools. Same language.

So any rumors other than Tim Leger?
According to the Facebook group, Tim Leger isn't getting it anyway. "He's not our man."
I guess he's not clean enough...lol!
Oh, and some of them are reading this thread. Say hi to the Geaux Cowboys group everyone!!

Lark Hebert would probably head coach for beer and blackjack money.

Played ITT Tech Institute close, lost to Nicholls. Way better competition nationwide. McNeese's excuses for 2017 are bullshite.

Who do they think "is our man?"
let me guess, someone that was a former player?

Most of them want Adam Henry or Kerry Joseph
I cant help but at them thinking Henry would come back to McNeese

Yeah, let me leave my NFL gig to come make 150k at McNeese.
Again, Kerry was my favorite all time Cowboy but isnt qualified.
When are McNeese people going to realize that just because you have a McNeese letter jacket doesnt mean you are automatically qualified to run a top 20 FCS program.

Dude has to be making more in the NFL. Does he really pass on better money/jobs to be the head coach of McNeese?
I mean, it's not like he would be at a launching pad job. Isn't Viator the only coach to move "up" in the last 20 years?
Some of them think this is a launching pad job, but it never has been.

Cowboy quarterback's performance drop off correlates with the arrival of Norton, the ex-NSU offensive line coach. Quite revealing that the NSU offensive line celebrated his departure.

They should hire Darnell Lee

I have heard some shite before but $11.5 million from parking garages is an all time one, ULL gets 11.5 from the school but its not from the general fund its money they generated from parking garages and t-shirts
There are only 6-7 schools whose AD make money, ULL is not one of them

He’s an awful coach.

The HC position has been posted on the NCAA's job board. Didn't even know that was a thing...lol!
"Shockingly" enough, it says they want someone with previous HC or coordinator experience. The brain trust is debating what exactly qualifies as a "coordinator", and if the applicant has to currently be an HC or coordinator somewhere to qualify.
Me thinks there is a bit too much reading into things being done.

For $180K per, McNeese will be lucky to get a water distribution coordinator from anywhere bigger than a D2 school.

The school just like that city has similar issues. They need new young ideas/life to grow. Lake Charles' board of decision makers are blue hairs with no vision for the future. They elected a young mayor, but he can only do so much. The school and its illustrious Cowboy Club is also run by blue hairs with no real vision for the future. McNeese is so caught up in "tradition" that they have allowed other schools to pass them up. Until that mindset changes and new ideas are brought to the table, it will only be rinse and repeat.
On a side note part of their tradition has been questionable recruiting methods. They focus so much on Texas recruits. They want to give the Texas recruit the scholarship and convince the Louisiana kid to walk on. This idea has caused a lot of Louisiana talent to go elsewhere.
