Dear eight pound, six ounce, newborn baby Jesus, in your golden, fleece diapers, with your curled-up, fat, balled-up little fists pawin' at the air... please deliver us from this coaching staff.

Nobody fits the description of “Guy Who Should Wear a Fishing Shirt” better than Matt Luke.

The only change that will happen is the arrival of this man:

Matt Luke is not getting fired this year sans an off the field scandal. You can let this one go and talk about the 4-5 assistants that will likely be replaced.

Matt Luke should have the safest job in the SEC right now. With the program working through sanctions, he's managed to get a his teams to respectability. Once sanctions are cleared and the job is attractive again, he'll probably be thrown to the wolves.

A girl can dream, can’t she?

Ole Miss is bleeding ticket sales and the fan base is angry and headed towards apathy. The OM Admin honestly put Luke in a shite situation bc they didn’t have the foresight to know this could happen.
Ole Miss is looking at a 3 or 4-win season next year, where the seat will be too hot for Luke to sustain and it will be speculation all over again about his job. The financial implications shouldn’t allow them to sit idly and keep him.
They really should cut bait and start over now while the SEC is not loaded with vacancies, but I don’t think they have the balls to do it.

Matt Luke isn't going anywhere until the NCAA penalties are over.

Not happening. He’s there for at least 2 more years.

I don't believe Ole Miss will actually pull the trigger, but if they drop the Egg Bowl, Luke might be in bigger trouble than it seems.
The recruiting sanctions were lifted and the bowl ban is over after this season. If you can get genuine interest from the likes of Neal Brown or Seth Littrell with a clean slate, you'd have to make a move, right?
