It should be, with no early voting.

Republicans would get more votes if it were.

It should be neither a holiday nor should anybody early vote unless with a good reason.

Polls are open before and after work hours. I’m also pretty sure employers are required to give employees a reasonable amount of time to go vote. Why are progressives so against working and earning money for a living?

Why does it matter?

Not going to stop votes from being “found” in trunks of cars, storage closets, and funeral homes

Well, Columbus day is only a holiday for government people, but she doesn't have a bad point

And banks as well, I believe.

Furthermore, I’d like everyday to be a holiday for government.

She's right! Working people should have the day off to vote.

You are just afraid that more liberals and socialists will be able to vote if it's a national holiday.

I do like how Louisiana has elections on Saturday so more people can vote.

People love to act like this would result in a higher voter turnout, but think about it for a second.

1. A lot of people would just take Monday off too, and go on a 4-day trip somewhere. People love to claim something is important until it clashes with their vacation time.

2. If kids are out of school, a lot of parents are going to stay home because no one is standing in a long arse line with their screaming kids.

3. It would take exactly one year of doing this before it was labeled as voter suppression, because jobs worked by lower class workers are the least likely to let them off for a federal holiday. Fast food, gas stations, they all have to work while the rich people get paid to take the day off and vote.

There’s no federal nor Louisiana law which does that. Maybe some other states laws...

Most democrat voters have 365 holidays each year and Christmas on about the first of each month.

Not for us hospital workers...gotta be at work at 0630, and don't get off until after 1900. Polls open from 0700 to 1900.
