So you are the reason I could never find any .22 ammo, I hope you choke on it.

What was the reason for the shortage? It was hit or miss finding for about a year for me. I'd find it at Bowie's in BR occasionally but they were limiting it to 3-4 boxes of 50. Not an issue any longer.

Obama gun ban threads for 8 years. people were stock piling. On other forums i read of people how had upward of 100k and still buying. It was just the cheap stuff so everyone was buying anything they could.

Expensive 22 rounds were easily found online, and at their usual price. Bulk 22 was very hard to find, had purchase limits, and was expensive.

It was all of the people that shoot at most once a year buying up 10k rounds, that made it hard to find anything.

i had links to cabaleas that would load your cart up with ANYTHING that was instock in their system but didnt show up online yet. It made it very easy to buy bulk and waste money. But cabaleas fixed that after a few weeks.

And that stopped me from going shooting multiple times. Some people have 100k+ rounds of 9mm and .22LR sitting in a closet waiting to go bad (that'll never be shot), while I could only get boxes of 50 if was lucky.

You also had individuals and pawn shops buying up stuff to resell it. They'd wait at stores for stock to be put out, so no one would ever have a chance to buy anything

It's not my fault, that you don't plan ahead.
I've noticed a common trait with people these days, when they can't get what they want, they blame somebody else.

I can’t remember why right now but there were other issues beyond simply supply from
People buying it all up. If that was the only issue, ammo companies would have made more.

There were rumors that the Feds were buying it up. I don't know if that was true.

RANT [ON] OFF

You goons are stashing up the .22wmr ammo too? All of the internets are sold out of good hunting .22 magnum bullets.

Knock the fort down, put the cushions back on the couch, take the foil helmet off, and quit piling up shite I need in your closet. The artificial panic you idiots started has completely ruined the ammo market for normal people who use bullets for good American hobbies like trapping and hunting.

Who in the cornbread frick decided that .22lr needed to be hoarded anyone? One dumbass decided he needed to buy .22 bullets out of panic, another dumbass saw him do it, and next thing you know masses of dumbasses are buying mountains of cheap arse junk ammo for no reason other than everybody else is doing it. Stick to hoarding TWO TWO THREE and FIVE FIVE SIX ammo for your shitty useless AR's. It's much more tactical and cool anyway.

My old man can't find .35 remington. 35 frickING REMINGTON!!! WHO THE frick HOARDS 35 REMINGTON???? WHAT IN THE HOLY HELL IS YOUR TACTICAL arse DOING WITH ARCHAIC 200 GRAIN COW KILLERS???????????????

So go sit on your mountain of bullets and read this post and laugh your ignorant market fricking up head off. One day you'll find something more important to worry about than how many .22 bullets you can shove in your closet because everybody else is doing it.

So to all of you bullet hoarders, frick off.

Not at all sincerely,
Downshift

welli think a issue with this was ammo companies stopped making other bullets and put all their powder and lead to the big selling bullets.
