Maybe you and Hammertime can stock up now and not cry about it when it happens again.

*spoiler alert*

It'll happen again.

Well, it was your fault that ammo was hard to get. Sure as shite wasn't my fault

If you chose not to buy in advance, well.. I guess that's just like me, not having money, because other people saved so much of it up, before I decided to start saving.
Poor us, the world aint fair!

Letting you know now, I am buying .22 mag ammo whenever I can afford to do it.

and I am pretty sure that I shoot more than you do, and even if I don't, that should have been all the more reason for you to buy in advance.

You know what they say about failing to plan?

It wasn't because people planned beforehand. It was because people went out and bought up every single box as soon as it hit the shelves. This is stuff that will never be used.

Then you have normal people who actually use their ammo, who now can't get it, because jackoffs are impulse buying all of the supply

Yeaaaaa, my life savings of money and .22 bullets are analogous

What pulls you to buy thousands of .22 bullets? The fact that someone else might buy them before you. Hes doing it for the same reason you are. Neither is smart enough to step back and realize the stupidity of what is happening.

Yall are grown, yall do what you want, but my advice to you is: If you think something might get hard to come by, and that you might need it, get it while you can.

See, that ammo isn't just for me, I know I would never need that much, even if things went to crap, but other people that I know, who didn't, or weren't able to stock up, would need it also.

If I had a way to see the future, I would know the perfect time to stock up on everything, but I don't, so I would rather play it safe.

I like a .22 mag better, but I also like to shoot the .17hmr a lot.

any CZ or Savage in these calibers are great shooters, and their semis are right there with the bolt models.

Thanks for the head's up.

While looking for other deals I found the Remington Thunder Bolt's for $14.99/500 or .0299/round. Anyone know if there is a big difference in performance between the two? Obviously one is 36 and one is 40 grain and one is hollow point and the other is LRN, so there is a difference there, but will one shoot/cycle better than the other?

It's still better than buying locally and paying state AND Parish taxes. At least, online, you're only paying state taxes.

And soon there will be no way of getting around it since the state passed the law last year that state sales tax must be collected on all online transactions.

Not with Federal, in my experience. When they had the big rebates on 556/223 last year I had 4 different orders that qualified and I received them all.

For anyone around ponchatoula - got 500 rd of 22 for $13 the other day. Had at least 3 other boxes. Since ammo prices weren’t talked about lately - I figured prices were back to where they should be. Maybe not

I hate to be this guy, but if you are SAVING money to buy ammo. You need to stop buying ammo. Not trying to tell you how to live your life but I mean....

FTR I buy a lot of whatever I buy because it is cheaper that way.

I'm not saving money to buy ammo.
I'm just using money as a comparison.. you know, for saving up or stocking up anything.

There are two types of people in regards to everything: People who have what others want. Then there are those who want what other people have.
I wish I had started buying up Muscle Car Parts back years ago. Now shite's hard to get. Guess I should hate those guys who have all of the good stuff.
