The amount of fricks I give about people losing money on a football game is represented by a negative number.

To hell with those people. Brosette came in here with Guice. He rode the pine behind Fournette, Guice, and Williams yet he stuck out four years as a backup getting little time. He could have easily transferred after year one, two, or three and nobody would have blamed him. Yet he hung around and is finally getting his due as a loyal tiger. CEH is good but we'd be fricked without Brosette this year.
Honestly we could use more players with the dedication and loyalty of Brossette.

I don't know if anyone noticed, but Brossette was bounced out of bounds on a previous first down play in that last drive. I'm sure the coaches got on him immediately about NOT stopping the clock again. Probably why it was first and foremost in his mind at the time.
Good kid, takes coaching.
That's what I saw and I figured the kid was taught to end the game so he did just that. But, the odds of fumbling a snap or handoff I would think are more likely than scoring 14 in under a minute without any timeouts. Who cares, we won and he was trying to do that the quickest. Good job NB

People who are think this was point shaving and bet more than they afford to lose on sports are a special kind of stupid.

Shame on people attacking Brossette.
That being said, Doucet is so fricking lame.

Frick em. You play to win the game.

To me, the smart play here was to run the ball and try put the game away. With 1 minute to go being up 14 seems to me as a safe bet at putting the game away. If you are scared that your defense can give up 14 points in 1 minute against Arkansas, then you do not need to be coaching @ LSU!!!!!!!!!!
The game was already put away after the 1st down. Arkansas had zero timeouts left.
The only chance they had to get back into the game, no matter how infinitesimal, was if we scored or fumbled. Brossette made the smart play.

For some fools LSU football is their life.
And betting on the team their drug of choice.

People that tweet directly at players for anything other than to appreciate them are some of the lowest forms of scum on earth. I personally would never contact a player directly, but I get why people congratulate or thank them

While I 100% agree that people should not be tweeting at #4 for those PLAYS... I still think that those may have been the most Baby Back Bitch of PLAYS I've seen in a while.
That Arkansas team was talking shite to us all game, and we should have shoved one more TD firmly up their arse to seal the deal instead of laying down twice. Ed O doesn't seem to be the type of coach to lay down instead of pound one more TD in the endzone, and based on his next two play calls, I can only assume he didn't tell #4 to do that.
If yall have forgotten, then go back and watch the multiple times that Jeremy Hill iced a game on a TD when teams were within one score of us. Scoring a TD, to end a game, on a team that just came back from 21 points to cut it to 7 is demoralizing and how good teams answer and close out a game. Ending the game on a 5 minute touchdown drive to close out a game would have been a fantastic way to move on in to the next week. Instead, everyone is talking about this fall down bull shite, and how we only beat a 2-7 team by 7 points.
I believe laying down on the one yard line to ice a game has no place in the world of college football. Todd Gurley can do it all he wants because it does not matter how you win a game in the NFL, so long as you win it. That number goes into the win column and once playoffs roll around it doesn't fricking matter how you won. Completely different story in CFB though. Style points are a thing, and that's evidenced by how we dropped three spots in the polls today. I do not think it will matter for us moving forward as there is such a small chance that we make a playoff game, but this type of shite would matter if we were competing with multiple teams for that last spot.
Take the players side all yall want, but that was a chicken shite play. I hope our next RB and really all of our players moving forward have more of a killer instinct than #4.

Brossette ended the game without Arkansas touching the ball again, and without risking potential injury to a teammate.
Can't get more "killer instinct" than that.

People need to stop betting significant portions of income they don’t have or cannot afford to lose on a game played by teenagers and men in their early twenties. They are embarrassing themselves.

Cost you your mortgage? If you had taken the money you bet on games each weekend and applied it to the pribcipal of your mortgage, you probably would have paid it off already

One shouldn't bet what they can't afford to lose!
