fighting over the fricking thermostat
I mean, you're definitely right overall
But not having a sauna for a house seems like a pretty solid hill to die on as far as marital battles go

I would be miserable with the AC on 75. Even 69 isn't low enough for me. Heat on 75 would be even worse. I would only be willing to do that for my child if necessary or my parents. A partner needs to compromise in some way. She can wear warmer clothing.

I like my house warmer than most people probably do, but 75 for the heater is way too hot.
This is exactly how I am. I like it warmer inside than most. I am a cold natured person, but if the heater is on 75, it almost feels like you are suffocating.

In my house though the thermostat holds the same as the biggest steak. That's dads and no one else better touch it.

our thermostat has 2 settings. Home (68) and away (72).

Frank William Wade says that the perfect sleeping temperature is 68 degrees, therefor you're both wrong.

That's not the 69 he's actually missing out on.

My boyfriend & I had our own Temperature Wars...we're ok during summer. But winter he refuses to set heater higher than 64, even on very cold nights. I just wear a few layers of clothes.
And I told him "well baby you'll just have to keep me warm at night"'
Problem solved!

75 is ridiculous. What stroke level. Also you sleep better in a cold house.

My house stays at 72 during the day, 67 at night
I know we have central heat, but it’s never been turned on. Will probably smell like burning tires if we ever have to use it

"Its always something". Stan Laurel. Roseanne Roseannadana too, aka Gilda Radner
Love or not.
I can see additional equipment solving this. I have a whole house a.c./heat and an individual wall a/c and a kerosene monitor. Voila.

We rarely turn on central heat. Once down in the covers it’s warm. In the bathroom there’s a heat/vent device for that.

74 during the summer, 66 during winter, save that paper...
