If you don’t want my Satsumas, don’t shake my tree.
Or
Squeeze me baby, 'till the juice runs down my leg
Squeeze me baby, 'till the juice runs down my leg
The way you squeeze my satsuma, I
I'm gonna fall right out of bed, bed, bed, bed, yeah

Satusuma marmalade. Give small jars out as gifts to acquaintances over the next two months.
Satsuma curd is also fricking awesome and freezes well.

I always feel left out when people start threads about something specific to southern Louisiana but don't explain what they are talking about for the rest of us rubes.

My Key Lime tree took a whack from the freeze last year..Almost killed it..About the same amount of fruit as your tree. Probably another two or three years before I see some fruit.

I only have a Fig tree, its LSU Purple I believe. Planted it on 17 and lost it in the freeze. It was down to a stick, this year it resprouted and grew to about 5' tall and around. Bought it through the 4H program where they sell citrus trees. Highly recommend to buy your trees from them. They sell a good product.

From my experience people outside of south La don’t call them satsumas. I could be wrong

My trees got hit hard by the freeze after a huge bumper crop. I have zero fruit this year.

Where do you live? My tree is about that old. First few years I had nothing,
I live in Zachary. I’ve never pruned it or fertilized it.

Wish you would have taken a picture of the tree before you picked them...I'll bet that looked cool as hell!

All of my citrus (3-5 yrs old) blossomed, but we had a frost that knocked everything back. I have 4 clementines on one tree. The others; 2 satsumas, 3 lemons, and lime are barren.
I'm on the northshore.
