re: Does 10-2 record and the Sugar Bowl save the season?

It is certainly better than losing one of the last 3 and playing in some BS Orlando bowl again.
The downside is that people will have an excuse to continue to ignore the offensive ineptitude because hey we won 10 games.

But O was hired on the promise that he didn’t need to rebuild. Just hire the best coordinators and let them do their jobs.
Let’s not move the goalposts

I want undefeated National Champs every year

If we can finish 11-2 with a Sugar Bowl win and a top 7-10 ranking, it would be the best season in relation to preseason expectations in many, many years.

we arent going 10-2
we will lose to A&M because they will stuff our running game just like bama did and while i dont see them shutting us out like bama, we will not win that one and i expect to lose by double digits

10-2 would be a great season, we havent done that since 2012 and practically every pundit nationally had us in the 6-6 to 7-5 range this season. I'd say even the average prediction on here was 9-3.

A&M has the worst passing defense in the conference, so there's plenty of opportunity there

Aggi will make Burrow look like an elite QB. Fitz and Stidham torched them with a very limited (to nonexistent in Auburn's case) running game.

I’ll be very happy with 11 wins. Losing to Arky, Aggy, or a clearly inferior bowl opponent would be very disappointing. Every Tiger Fan should have deep concerns about the offense. However, looking at the season as a whole, it has been a great job by Ed O to this point. Just have to finish strong and show some life on offense.

Beginning of year the following 7 teams were favored to beat LSU.
Miami
Auburn
Florida
Georgia
Miss St.
Alabama
Texas A&M

I think so. It's something to really build upon, akin to the Cotton Bowl victory against aTm after of the 2010 season. A Sugar Bowl berth should help with recruiting, especially if LSU wins it and ends up 11-2.

double digit wins is always good for LSU.
What if we go 9-3, with 3 conference losses, so we're nowhere near the West title.
Then we go to a shitty bowl and win against a mediocre team.
There's your double digit win season. That's good for LSU?
I'd argue that's sub-par, for a team that should have championship/playoff aspirations.

Stidham was 18-29 for 239 yards
Fitzgerald was 14-22 for 241 yards
Solid, but hardly torched.

No. It’s just a consolation. Bowl games are meaningless now. I want to win a championship or at leasr get to the playoffs.

10-2 is an absolute success for any season. The gap may have widened with bama but quite frankly they have opened the gap on everyone. Let’s go get a new OC in the off season and win the sugar bowl and I will be happy.

i would like for LSU to sacrifice ucf to the diety of it's choice in the peach bowl or fiesta bowl.

Auburn was 19/30 for 259 yards and 3 TDs.
64%, 250 yards 3 TDs and 0 picks is torched for those below average QBs. And it would be considered a torching for ours in a comfortable win.
