Economy answers make sense. 68% say economy is good and only 21% think its the most important issue. Means most people are now working, got a raise, and some got a bonus, so they arent worried about it anymore.
But unfortunately our human nature results in us caring less about things when they are good, taking it for granted, and are less inclined to do something to keep them going. That is, until something bad makes us care about it again.

That's 49% Red right there on those two issues alone. I bet they won't leave that up long enough for anyone to do the math.

Thats not how exit polls work. It just means that the issues were important to them. It doesnt mean they voted one way or the other for the issue

I took up for exit polling earlier. I change my mind, these folks are too corrupt to run exit polls. They'll end up slanted. Bernie won according to the exit polls so there's that
Exit polls released before poll closings are pretty useless anyways since we have no idea how or why anyone voted. So unless something that is correlated with voting behavior ends up drastically different than expected, then they aren’t very useful regarding the election itself.

Now if instead of Trump’s approval being 44%, pretty consistent with his approval across all the polling, and was 10 points in either direction, then we may be able to infer that if the the voters are disproportionately more or less supportive of Trump, then they’re voting behaviors would be more or less supportive, in the same direction, of things that support Trump.

This exit poll says +70% of voters say that "extremist violence" plays a big part in their vote? What a joke.

Networks had NEVER reported results on a state before all precincts closed. That all changed in 2000. Not only did they report FL results, they intimated FL was done. I believe a couple may have even called it before west FL polls closed. There is no question whatsoever West Florida votes were suppressed by that maneuver. Probably in vicinity of a couple of thousand.
they absolutely called it before the polls closed

But I think I disagree with you, it is my belief that a bunch of people got pissed a d ran to the polls when they heard thst the networks had called the state fore AL Goron

The way CNN is deciphering these numbers is hilarious.

56 percent say country headed in wrong direction

Not sure what this really means. Seems like they cherry picked 2 responses. The wrong direction response could be about the nasty way democrats have been acting. Could be a general statement about the divide between repubs and dems and their unwillingness to work together.

If it wasn't for Trump holding this thing together and getting things done I would definitely say the country is heading in the wrong direction politically... not economically.

So much context missing here. Of course... it's CNN so it makes perfect sense.
