we have beaten 3 top 10 teams

Why does anyone spew this? You realize it makes no sense to tout wins over what the team was ranked when we beat them right? Miami is 5-4 and just lost to Duke, who gives a shite what they were ranked when we beat them?

You honestly think our talent is worse than 104th in the country?

By every objective measure he is not. I gave him credit for the game he called against UGA but even then our red zone offense was pretty rough. Other than that game I'm not sure what you can point to to say he's doing a good job. It really bums me out that he is going to have to be O's fall guy, as he is a true tiger who loves his alma mater. I guess it is what it is at this point.

and????? The offense is still shite. Were yo saying the same when Miles was running his shite offenses?

If we end up 10-2 and prove all the preseason predictions wrong then we have over achieved and are headed in the right direction. if you don't believe this then you sir are a dumb arse.

yea how's that tough schedule looking? Miami is shite, Auburn is shite, UGA is still ranked and Miss State is barely ranked. Sorry not that tough

Everyone can't be ranked in the top 10 especially after losing......oh wait except us this must mean something!

do you remember 2015? how many yards did LF run for? that oline was being touted as one of the best we ever had.

So you're saying because of one or two years in the past 11, LSU was some offensive juggernaut?

Not taking away from 13 or 15, those offenses were good, but every other year our offense has been putrid, and yes, this year we rank even lower than those putrid years.

I do not have ANY basis for saying what I am about to say, just an instinct.

SE did not want the job for a long time but FINALLY agreed to it.
Kiffin has coached and is friends w Coach O.
but Kiffin could not be hired last year...too much controversy at all places...

what if??
SE has been used (whether knowingly or unknowingly) as a "place holder" until Kiffin could be brought in ?
...not even suggesting THIS YEAR

Having said this,
WE ARE 7 - 2 in the SEC WEST and beat many many ranked teams including GA # 2 ...so the sky is not falling in.
...we do have many holes in the O Line.

Alabama has at least these projected first rounders:
- OT Jonah Williams
- LB Christian Miller
- DT Raekwon Davis
- ILB Anfernee Jennings
- RB Damien Harris

You have not said one word about the body of work on offense. Do you know how badly it's ranked?

It would objectively be an improvement from last year, yes. But do you realistically see us ever taking that next step and getting over the hump and winning the SEC with O?

And you are a dumbass for thinking this should be used when speaking of a coordinators performance

Ill use hyperbole, but you could go 15-0 with a title and still have a coordinator that needs to be fired

Apparently the plan was to bring in Freeze but the SEC and NCAA were against it.

Can the NCAA and/or the SEC legally tell us who we can or can't hire?

If the answer is no, then I say screw them and hire Freeze or Briles.

Bama is the team that offered Freeze the job, not LSU.......

I'm not attacking E personally. But we have to realize (CEO has to realize) that E isn't going to turn this offense into something that gets us back to Atlanta.

He's a Tiger and I appreciate his efforts, but the results are severely lacking. 10-2 is great, but it doesn't get us to our goals: winning championships again.

No that wasn’t the plan, Steve was always O’s guy, his actions and words make that very obvious.

10 - 2 or not , E is not the answer, just like under Miles the team is achieving mostly on the backs of the defense period

Well let's give SE and Coach O time to recruit and build the type of offense they think they can win championships with. If we keep hiring and firing it will never happen. Trust me both these coaches do not think they have an offense built to win a national championship this year and neither did all of America before the season started. I think they can recruit the type of players needed to make this offense great let's give them a chance.

People have said LSU tried to get him. I don't know if that's true.

Either way, we can't be scared to bring in someone with a little baggage. Alabama isn't. Why the frick should we be?

I disagree completely. I think he is doing a terrible job with what he has to work with.

Granted, he may not have much but he is doing nothing to help them either.

It’s a really bad combination of bad play and terrible coaching.

I can, if O hires a legit OC and let's him do his job. If he can realize his mistake and fix it, I see no reason why we can't.

Now, if he doubles down with E as OC and next year we have the same piddling offense, then he'll have lost my support.

Yeah, that would suck and has never happened before. Coordinators leave after great seasons on their own never fired unless some type of harassment charges!!

Both Ensminger and Orgeron have been heavily involved in recruiting for years (Orgeron was recruiting coordinator under Miles). This excuse doesn't hold water anymore.
