He needs to shut up. He will single-highhandedly hurt the catholic church more than any devil will.

Seriously, what is keeping Catholics in that organization at this point?

Eastern Orthodox share much of the same tradition, and aren't cucked and kid-frickers.

Someone should tell him that no economic system has ever lifted more people out of poverty than capitalism.

SOunds like the Pope should read the Bible.
And what do you benefit if you gain the whole world but lose your own soul?

it is not what goes into the mouth that defiles a person, but what comes out of the mouth

The Pope should concern himself with helping the spiritually poor and not hating the economically rich, they are the same people in a lot of instances

Y’all tickle the shite out of me.....you are like a bunch of 8 year olds in you naivety.

Religion...ALL religions.....across all of time and humanity....have been about keeping an elite few in power and wealth while keeping the masses under thumb. The pope is merely parroting what ALL religion has taught ALWAYS....that being wealthy isn’t something to aspire to because it’s the afterlife that matters......greed is bad, gluttony a sin, camels and the eye of a needle....all religious teaching.....again, all of it....is meant to pass the message that being poor is a virtue and being wealthy is a sin. The pope probably believes that shite because it’s what Christianity teaches, as do all religions. Capitalism is bad because it allows the poor some hope of not being poor IN THIS LIFE......the pope is merely doing his job and ensuring the masses look to heaven for salvation and not capital where it truly lies......

Making the poor come first gives incentive to continue to be poor and just accept handouts bc they know they’ll be okay. I.e welfare rats

The Pope must have forgotten that time when Jesus’ disciples were upset that very expensive oil was used to anoint Him instead of being sold to help the poor and Jesus said that His burial anointing was more important and that we would always have poor among us. The implication is that while helping the poor is good, there are more important things.

Yes because the church prior to was the epitome of perfection and sainthood....

Certainly. He’s my brother. You, however, are not. I don’t care if you live, die, are tortured, are rich, none of that matters because you’re nothing to me. And you will never be anything to me. From the day you popped out of your moms pussy til the day you draw your last breath, you don’t mean shite to me.

I’m not responsible for you, your life, your well-being, or your decisions. You are.

And Jesus said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God.

19 Thou knowest the commandments, Do not commit adultery, Do not kill, Do not steal, Do not bear false witness, Defraud not, Honour thy father and mother.

20 And he answered and said unto him, Master, all these have I observed from my youth.

21 Then Jesus beholding him loved him, and said unto him, One thing thou lackest: go thy way, sell whatsoever thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, take up the cross, and follow me.

In other words, the Pope is saying capitalism which encourages creativity that results in surprise is a sin.

It is NOT a sin when I create a new design of jewelry and try to sell it to the public in order to make a profit and I see the look of surprise on someone's face who tells me they've never seen beautiful designs like my jewelry then buys something from me so I can live by my earnings.

Capitalism is a blessing not a sin.

Not if my poor "brother" foolishly wasted his money on drugs, alcohol, lottery tickets, partying, etc. instead of being frugal and saving his money to make sure his living expenses get paid first.

I believe in Tough Love because I don't want to be an enabler to someone so they can continue to misspend their money.

Pope should be more concerned about this verse

But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea.

To the money question
And if thine eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast it from thee: it is better for thee to enter into life with one eye, rather than having two eyes to be cast into hell fire.

I look at money, country, work the same way. Don't allow money to be your lord, it is better to be poor and follow Jesus than to be rich and lost.
