Capitalism has lifted more people OUT of poverty then any other form of government that has ever existed, and it's not even close.

I'm sure MM is stretching the truth.

But, regardless, capitalism has brought more people out of poverty than any socialist system ever has

So is pedophilia and protecting pedophiles from the law.

So is genocide.

So Michael Moore telling The Gateway Pundit that this happened is credible...?

This board has long known that we should never trust a word out of michael moore’s mouth.

The pope might well believe this, but michael moore claiming the pope believes it is just as convincing as a fart in the wind.

Has the pope ever asked himself why poor people are poor and stay that way sometimes of their own choosing?

So he thinks the government should force people to be “moral”? There is greed in capitalism, yes. But if the free market is allowed to operate without government intervention, corporations and those engaging in unethical behavior eventually pay the price.

Fat arse Micheal Moore is worth $50 million. If he’s so obsessed with poor people getting their fair share, why isn’t he writing checks to them?

I'm sure the pope will refuse to accept money from those sinful capitalistic countries.

Not catholic, never will be. How some people follow the drizzling shite that comes out of a Pope's mouth, and go to church to listen to a likely pedophile is beyond my understanding.

I wish the next time he steps onto the balcony to give a sermon a lightening bolt would hit him in the forehead.

All i want to know is if this means that my children’s tuition is about to be free!??

Dear Diocese,

Our Pope says capitalism is a sin. That’s a mighty nice new church you have there. I expect my tuition refund check soon.

God Bless You,

Swamie

There is no greater economic system in the world than capitalism, but if you consider yourself a Christian, you would be lying to yourself if you think it doesn't lead to sinful practices. Greed is a sin and one of capitalism's largest byproducts is greed. So in that he is not wrong. And he's also correct in the assertion that the poor must always come first. Once again, if you consider yourself a Christian, you would know that one of Jesus's biggest lessons was to always aid your fellow man when they are in need. The poor are always in need. There are a certain number of people out there who, despite their best efforts, can't pick themselves up off the mat. It is those people who we must always be willing and able to assist. And, unfortunately, capitalism has a tendency to leave those people in the dust.

More people have been lifted out of poverty by capitalism than any other system on Earth. Yet this guy (Pope) says capitalism is a "sin". The catholic church has always been against Capitalism...all the way back to the reformation...not wanting a middle class etc. If I were catholic I would be embarrassed

In Judeo-Christian theology, everything fallen man does is tainted with sin.

His selection of "capitalism" as "a sin" is just idiotic at best, and a dangerous endorsement of authoritarianism ...most likely.

Come to the dark side of Reformed-Protestantism all ye Believers.
