Anybody like me was ready to get home from school Friday afternoon to watch family matters, boy meets world, step by step, and whatever the last show was that nobody cared about lol.

Yeah and I remember it well. Hands down one of the GOAT tv line ups ever. You couldn't beat the Stefan/Steve family matters alter episodes.

Disrespectful to Hanging with Mr. Cooper

When I started watching TGIF faithfully, hangin with Mr cooper was on reruns on fox everyday after school.

Nah hanging with mr Cooper was not as bad as Dinosaurs.
GOAT lineup would be Full House, Family Matters, Step by step, Perfect Strangers.
Boy meets world could be subbed for perfect strangers, but it was too sentimental at times.
I didn't care much for Sabrina, I'm not a chick.

These are undoubtedly the top three. I was a bit young for Perfect Strangers and a bit old for Boy Meets World. I watched a lot of Dinosaurs and Hanging With Mr Cooper though.

Sabrina was definitely the start of the decline.

i think perfect strangers may have been an addition later in its run. I think it originally started on another night, but I can't remember that far back.
I just remember it being funny as a kid.
Full house actually started TGIF I think. Family Matters though, to me, is still the most asscosiated tgif show. Step by step came a little later I think. I'd say peak years were probably 91-95.
I just remember getting out of school on a Friday and counting down the hours until 7 pm and TGIF. We'd pop popcorn, throw pillows on the floor and lay there for 2 hours in pure heaven. When the block was over, we'd maybe have a rented movie or something to pop in the vcr. Greatest time in the world to be a kid.

I did this exact thing. I had friends that lived on the same street as me and we would switch off week and watch as a group at each others houses. And it was always pizza night on Fridays, so that was cool too.

It really is amazing what ABC did with a night that is usually a death sentence for any show, especially sitcoms.

I recall Perfect Strngers being one of the originals in the TGIF lineup. I started watching TGIF when it started in 1989.

Loved TGIF
This was of course after I had already ridden my bike to Blockbuster and gotten my movie and SNES game for the weekend. Along with popcorn, goobers, and Mountain Dew
Mom would bring home the pizza pizza buy one get one long arse pizza tray from Little Caesers and the weekend was set.
Simpler times. Miss it

when erkel rode a jet pack or something at the end of an episode and then lands in the yard of 'step by step', thought that was the coolest hour of tv ever.

That and Full House are the ones I remember. I was old enough to go to a bar by the time Boy Meets World came around so don’t remember that one.

Full house, just the 10 of us (spinoff of growing pains), perfect strangers, family matters, others came and went but these were my favorites!

I later learned Jaleel White was the voice of Sonic the Hedgehog. I loved those growing up as well. Where is he now?

Normal working class family from Chicago turns into crazy nerd neighbor invents crazy impossible things.
The show's writers told the Happy Days shark to hold their beer.

Never really watched Key and Peele, but I went on a Key and Peele YouTube kick the other day and found this
