Yeah, I’m not buying the $85 for tuition. I started in the fall of ‘83 and tuition was $425 for full time. Tickets were free back then, but they started charging in either my sophomore or junior year. Don’t remember the pricing but you could choose from general admission or reserved for the student section..

Old school here—got in with just a punch of the old student ID card. 1978-1983.
Seats were 1st come, 1st served. Sent pledges to save seats 2 hrs. before the ‘79 USC game.

$0.00. Students got in free when I was at LSU.

3 bucks, or 5 if we got student group "reserved" seats. Basketball games are still free, right?

It was 6-$7 a peice during the years I was there so around $49 season. Then, you could upgrade a student ticket for non students for a fee.

I paid $40 for the season, back in 1978.

I love how ya'll old-timers act like LSU football has existed in a vacuum for the last three decades. You know why people don't stay during snorers? Because there's other shite they can do. And they can do [insert whatever they want to do here] while still watching the LSU game, which you sure as hell couldn't back in the late 70s. Give the damn leaving early thing a break. It's beating a dead horse. There isn't just one way to watch LSU anymore, so people will choose to do it however they want. They bought the tickets; they can do whatever the hell they want with them.

Students have to pay? In 1978 - 1982, we just used our Student ID and got into every LSU sporting event. Ah, the good ole days. And, yes, we stayed until the end of the game.
I used that ID for all other LSU Sports (Loved Wrestling in the AC with Coach Shack, who had turned the Wrestling team into a National power) and for meals at the cafeteria behind Pentagon...…….

As a freshman after the 04 championship, when I could not get a student ticket, I paid $75 for the Oregon St game.

1967-1972. Got into any athletic event with student i.d. Got married in '72, wife was not a student andt she got a free spouse i.d. But we paid a non-optional athletic fee of $60/semester that went to $90 in '70 or '71. Seating was first come first grab. Seems like I remember "date" tickets that we could get for non-student dates that were either free or dirt cheap. Old fart here reminiscing.

First semester LSU was in 65 and seems like the student activity fee was $25 per semester. And yes, our student ID got us into all sporting events

$6 per game. Dinardo had started to 'Bring Back the Magic' and I graduated after Saban's first year with LSU. It was a great time to be a Tiger fan!!
