that occurred on the targeting play. Two LSU players did a quick little very moderate non taunting choregraphed type celebration together after the interception and each was called separately and each penalty enforced separately for unsportsmanlike conduct. Has anyone ever seen or recall this penalty being enforced in this manner on a post play celebration? I've seen more than just 2 players doing a group type celebration after a big play and have never seen the penalty assessed, totaled up, and then marked off in this manner. Was this a first? Ref seemed very very angry at LSU.

2 individual dead ball fouls...

not a first...

I had a game YEARS ago that had 4..

and I believe for the SEC and ACC this type of stuff is a point of emphasis..

and LSU has had some shenanigans post play already this year.. so you can bet when crews are pre-gaming this is part of the discussion - to nip it in the bud....

45 yards of penalties on one play.

30 of them deserved.

I couldn't care less about the additional penalties, even after they were called. I was MUCH, MUCH, MUCH more concerned about the targeting call. The second I heard there was a targeting penalty, I knew the implication of that player would be suspended for the first half of the Bama game. Once they said it was on #40, I was fricking livid. After they showed the replay on the jumbotron, I was like, "Okay, cool, they have to overturn this." When the ref, the targeting call stood, I stood there in absolute disbelief. I said some pretty terrible things, so I apologize if you had your children near me.

I've never seen it. What if 5 players posed? Would they have assessed 90 yards-ish worth of penalties?

Not exactly 90 because at some point you start assessing half the distance instead of 15 yards. But the point remains.

No. It was a ridiculous call that you’ll never see again.

I've never seen more than one penalty enforced on a play. Typically teams pick one and have to decline the others.

Hell no! That was icing on the cake for a collusion. What other conference would allow their shitty officials act like that?

Bama's conference..., that's who.
