I'm older now with kids and would rather they not hear some words, but when they do, I use it as teaching moments.

I'm shocked at the amount of people complaining. I heard similar words at family gatherings growing up and my dad had to teach me to not say those words.

Did you ever hear any of those words spoken?

I’m tired of this Baptist shite

You’re at a fricking football game. If you don’t hear profanity from the crowd, you’ll hear it from someone in passing

Tiger Stadium was a raucous place in the 70's and 80's when I was a kid. I thought it was awesome. In fact, I went to an Ole Miss game in the early 80's with my dad and grandfather. We passed some people yelling "Go to Hell Ole Miss!" We passed some other guys holding a sign that said "Piss on Ole Miss." I remember asking about it and my dad said that's just what the students do. I grew up and went to LSU. I even yelled (ear muffs) a-hole a-hole in the student section. It was fun. Nobody was emotionally damaged forever.

The more people continue to make a big deal out of this, the more it will continue.

I guarantee the students will yell STTDB tomorrow. And the sun will come up Sunday.

Exactly

I would rather my kid know there’s bad words and actions out there, and also know I wouldn’t want them saying/doing it

It’s better than taking someone totally oblivious to it to a game and having the kid ask me “Daddy, what’s suck tiger dick?”

They are just gonna start blasting more piped in music over the students whenever they chant. STTDB is just going to kill more of the band's participation that they love so much. However it doesnt bother me at all. Carry on.

If you mean blasting louder music over the student section doesn't bother you, I concur. I let other family members and friends use most of my tickets and attend select games. Didn't care for the loud music at first, but if that's what it takes to keep vulgarities at a minimum, I'm all for it.

Hate that the band would be a lost awesome tradition, but if that's what it takes, I'm all for it.

Sad...

Aren’t the words He’ll and Piss just a little less offensive and vulgar than Suck That Dick?

I think in every way, they are.

I don’t understand why grown adults let words bother them.

You don’t like the chant, don’t join in.

Just like you don’t give a shite that the students think it’s fun to chant profanity, the students don’t give a shite that your feelings are hurt.

You bring a kid to Death Valley, they’re gonna hear some shite. Just like if you bring someone to a strip club, they’re gonna see some tits. You wouldn’t try to get a strip club to stop showing tits would you?

I don't think that's the question we should be asking. We should be asking if you'd rather go to hell or suck a tiger dick.

Colleges and Universities with a large Greek presence have students who actually die their freshman year because they or other students are doing much more stupid shite than saying STTDB. Those affiliation are doing just fine.

I encourage all parents to take their kids to Tiger Stadium for football games. It’s a great parenting opportunity and learning experience for kids. It’s impossible to keep kids sheltered from bad words. That’s the real world.
