I am but should't my family get a cut of the money the hospital makes on my organs.

Have been for decades now. I'm getting ready to hit 66 in a few weeks, but my eyes, kidneys, liver, heart are still in good order as per the blood work results and Dr. visits I've had.
I plan on being cremated when I die, so what's the use burning up organs that can possibly be used to give someone else a better quality of life.
Just seems like the right thing to do really.

I was, but changed it. IMO, it's pretty dumb to think that everything that can be done to save your life will be done, when so many individuals and institutions stand to make bank if you die.
You may consider it greed, but the truth is, anyone likely to have their organs harvested, is also likely to have loved ones they are leaving behind in a much more unstable financial situation than they were with the donor alive. Why should a donor literally leave part of themselves behind with no consideration for their own families, when the medical profession takes your generosity and profits from it, to the tune of hundreds of thousands of dollars?

No. My organs could end up in a pedophile or a Democrat. Since they seem to love each other then frick no.

I am. My grandfather ended up with kidney failure. He died while on the waiting list for a donor (the older you are, the further down the list they send you). When I found out how many people are on waiting lists for organ transplants, I was astonished at just how few there are. That made it even worse for me to see that my grandfather could've been saved.
After that, I added myself to the organ donor list.

I am currently an organ donor, but i am having second thoughts. I think the doctors may be quicker to throw in the towel and let someone die if they're an organ donor to harvest their organs.
thoughts?

Please don't bury me
Down in that cold, cold ground
No, I'd rather have 'em cut me up
And pass me all around
Throw my brain in a hurricane
And the blind can have my eyes
And the deaf can take both of my ears
If they don't mind the size
Give my stomach to Milwaukee
If they run out of beer
Put my socks in a cedar box
Just to get 'em out of here
Venus De Milo can have my arms
Look out! I've got your nose
Sell my heart to the junk man
And give my love to Rose
Down in that cold, cold ground
No, I'd rather have 'em cut me up
And pass me all around
Throw my brain in a hurricane
