You know I’m actually more pissed off at the Republicans in this. They’re the ones who run the Executive Branch, Congress, the Courts, State Governors, and State Legislatures, so why was this fricking bullshite of lighting my taxpaying dollars on fricking fire allowed? This definitive proof the government is too big and stupid and to be largely purged when shite like this is greenlit.

The National Science Foundation is spending over $350,000 studying "microaggressions" in college engineering programs using an "intersectional perspective."
The joint project is being conducted by Iowa State University and North Carolina Agricultural & Technical State University. The project was awarded this summer, though research will not begin until Jan. 1, 2019.
The study will "build a gender and race microaggressions psychometric scale" to evaluate engineering students' behavior. The project is billed as "An Intersectional Perspective to Studying Microagressions [sic] in Engineering Programs."
"The research is motivated by the persistently low representation of gender and racial minorities in engineering education and seeks to study the subtle behaviors, or microaggressions, that students experience in engineering programs," according to the grant for the project.
The researchers claim there is a dearth of studies on "microaggressions" in engineering labs and suggest that "verbal, nonverbal, environmental slights, snubs, or insults, whether intentional or unintentional," may be the cause of fewer female and minority students enrolling in engineering programs.

Sounds to me like they spent $368,695 too much on that study.

Or maybe female and minorty students don’t do engineering because they aren’t as intelligent as a group compared to the hated white males who are doing it.

People are dying of starvation and we are studying microaggressions. This world is fricked

What a waste of fricking money. An utter joke. Exactly why government run healthcare will never work.

A much better use of that money would be to teach a class on learning how to not live every minute of your life being a fricking pussy. These little snowflakes have no self respect, it’s pathetic

I don't know how that story about the people writing nonsense "social science" articles hasn't completely sunk the humanities in academia

Micro aggressive engineering terms:
Studs
Nuts
Total dynamic head
Elongatarion
Stimulated emission
Crankshaft
There are a ton more.

leave this stupid PC crap out of the way of scientists trying to make a difference unless you actually want to impede progress
