These two Rhodes Scholars walk into Hokus Pokus and buy $2700 in booze with a stolen credit card. You think with a purchase this huge, you would ask for an ID to match the cc.

Update:
The card did match their ID, the card was cloned to another (stolen) number. They didn’t buy all $2700+ in one visit, it was five visits.

I enjoyed the "Harvard" and "Rhodes Scholars" descriptions.

it's crazy to me that even as dumb as some criminals are today, they don't think that using a stolen credit card will get them caught

Most of the time it won’t, police departments don’t have the resources to track down the vast majority of stolen credit cards. If these two MENSA members hadn’t made such a large purchase at a single location they would have most likely gotten away with it.

Most likely, these culprits can be found on the corner of Highway 73 and Highway 74, near the street Candy Land, next to Family Dollar.

Or as a friend of mine likes to say, "Little Jamaica."

They DO look like former Harvard (Middle School dropouts, you know, the one on MLK Boulevard).

I'm sure the guy behind the counter suspected something was up but since they were going to make a nice profit off the deal he didn't do anything about it.

Its a risk reward thing for them.

They will almost certainly get caught but they had their fun and got drunk AF

They have probably already been in prison, now they might go back for a year, rinse and repeat.

Its a culture that doesnt value long term planning or risk/benefit evaluation very much.

They have two fine chicks that work there. They were finer before they got all those tattoos though.
