Microsoft nearing a deal for Obsidian ent.

RIP Obsidian. They can join Bioware and Rare, among other developers, who were purchased by giants and ruined.

This isn't EA. I trust Phil Spencer to be doing this to do some much needed shoring up of there 1st party library, not to absorb assets.

And before anyone asks, no, this doesn't mean a sequel to New Vegas. Bethesda doesn't need to sub out their IP anymore, nor do they want to.

Most of the people that made the games you know and love don't work for Obsidian any longer.
Just look at the way they treated Chris Avellone in his departure.
It's not the same company anymore, hasn't been since 2015.
Let Microsoft have them.
