Georgia hasn't been awesome against the run this year, and I think Florida is as good if not better than georgia in the secondary

UGA's rush defense is 3rd in the conference. 113 YPG.

Florida's rush defense is 12th. 173 YPG.

It's still a little murky at this point. UGA has better DBs and depth than UF for sure. We'll show flashes of brilliance and then look lost at times. I honestly think we'll find out how good of a team we are this weekend.

7th in yards allowed per game. 2nd in scoring defense.

But people think we'll win no problem.

UGA struggled to get off the field against Vanderbilt, who actually won the TOP game on Saturday.

UGA won simply because Vandy could not stop their offense. Vandy had to spend the entire second half trying to play catch-up instead of running their balanced offense which gave UGA fits in the first half (Vandy gained 230 yards in the first half including 97 on the ground). They also did a great job with the screen game, which worked like a charm every single time.

Plenty of talent, but they are not a stone wall defense at this point. There's work that still needs to be done on that side of the ball for sure.

Georgia’s defense is better overall, but they don’t have as good of edge rushers as Florida, so we may fare better

You would be incorrect. Georgia has probably the second best corner in the country and has one of the best overall secondaries in the country.

Now Florida defensive line might be a little better than Georgia's.

Probably better Vs the run, a little worse vs the pass. Better overall.

Second best scoring defense in the country.

UGA hasn't played anyone yet though. They arguably have the easiest schedule in the conference, definitely have played the easiest schedule so far of anyone besides Bama.

Tough to read too much into that at this point.

UGA has only played one team who is in the Top 50 in rushing yards per game. That was Mizzou at #34 who ran for 172 against UGA.

The strength of this UGA team right now is undoubtedly their offense.

Florida gave up 222 yards rushing to Charleston Southern and 300+ to Kentucky.

UGA's rush defense may not be proven, but we know that Florida's is not good.

I agree. Starting 6 different Oline combinations for LSU finally caught up to them, and it affected the ability to pass block and run block. LSU's ability to beat UGA is completely dependent on being able to block better on the Oline

Florida has better edge rushers, UGA has better tackles. Linebackers and secondary are a push I think.
