Sounds like you had a different experience than me. One of our alumni used to put schwastikas over names at rush if they thought the name sounded too jewish.

And those pluses you mentioned keep you basically a prisoner of the house. F that
Different people value different things. I'm sure your college experience was right for you.

That wasn’t my experience. Was in a big frat at LSU. No one had to live in the house, but the rooms were always occupied, with a waiting list. A couple of guys even modified a storage closet to make a bunk room.

Our fraternity house was very nice, with a waiting list and basically gourmet food.
People's experiences differ, but mine could not have been better.

Apparently not. If they were like normal people, they wouldn't have to join a frat to make friends.
I've never understood why people think this. To think that Greeks are incapable of making friends outside of having to pay for them is as asinine as the belief that meeting people is why the majority of people join. Dues go to things like bus trips, tailgates, concerts and sorority exchanges...ya know, fun shite that any normal person would want to go to. I think when people say that fraternities exist only to combat friendless-ness, it reveals some sort of self-justification complex in trying to downplay something they weren't a part of.

Oh this was the biggest thing they dreaded. One guy stayed on my couch for 4 months because he ended up having to live in the house as a pledge.
My 3 freshmen roommates lived there at the start of the 2nd year to get it over with. One stayed with his gf, one stayed with his gf and his moms house in BR, and the other floated around. It mostly revolved around schoolwork.
I used to go to their parties and was surprised they made it as long as they did on campus. I knew it was getting bad when I was in the Union one day eating and their frat was on the CNN news ticker on national tv

The frats should pool all their brainpower together and pull an Animal House on F. Queen Alexander and Alleva and this raging cúnt Angela and run their asses out of town.
No more fun allowed on college campuses anymore.

What they should do is have one big Greek get together right in front of Tiger Stadium starting around 7 a.m. on game day and commence to getting faced......very faced and get a big cut out of F King and Alleva and throw beer at it
I like where you’re going with this

This.
I know fraternity brothers who used to get pissy over this. I find it funny because it exposes the GDI saying it as a jealous frick.

The result of this:
Greeks will move to areas families are tailgating and aggravate people because they 1- took their spot and 2- are loud. Or
They will get smart and rent out a bar near campus or combine forces and have a huge multi organization tailgate.
The amount of partying will not decrease.
If you look at many of the big LSU donors they were part of Greek organizations. I wonder how long before they put pressure on the university to ease up.

You're already seeing this to an extent.

When they say tailgating on the parade ground is prohibited.. If a group of people, who are all in the same frat, have a place set up.. Who will they know they are frat? Or can frats not tailgate without representing their letters and letting everyone know who they represent?
Posted on 10/2/18 at 5:40 pm to bigberg2000
No, LSU allows for nothing bigger than a 10x10 tent that must be registered through LSU with no more than 7-8 people per tent
Posted on 10/2/18 at 5:42 pm to OweO
Yeah, if I was the Greeks I’d not only hold a massive tailgate with every Greek org but I’d also hold a protest in F King’s building until they came up with a solution

This thread is hilarious. Football games are about...football games. frick the tailgating aspect.
These frat stars aren’t entitled to shite. Yet you guys will be the first ones bitching about millennial entitlement.

If LSU ends Greek Life, they will see a Missouri like number drop in enrollment.

And, most of the Greeks are the more popular kids growing up.
