This investigation "sword" will cut both ways.

There is no way the allegations against Kav can be conducted without also investigating the background of Dr. Ford. The results are going to be very interesting. I don't think Dr. Ford and her expert legal team and the Dems thought this through very well.

My wife and I were talking about this.
Is the FBI also investing Ford and all of her stories? Or are they just looking into Kav?
Would be awesome if they were instructed to fully dig into both and they uncovered shite on her/Dems.

For sure.
The dem leadership will be delighted with any fbi research outcome that requires most republicans to vote no.
If Dr ford ends up outed for witchcraft orgies with her neighbors but kav is not confirmed, that's fine all in all.

My understanding, under a background check and subsequent supplemental background check, you can simple refuse to talk to the FBI. My guess, Ford will not talk to the FBI. However, we don't truly know what the FBI is up to and they may be casting a net much wider than a supplemental background check.

The most interesting questions will be the ones her lawyer doesn’t let her answer. I would assume those will still appear in the transcripts.

Yes I'm sure an entire team full of people that are all smarter than you are didn't think of that at all. Maybe they should hire you to detect obvious things for them.
It's almost as if she didn't care what the consequences were as long as she decided to speak up about a prior event knowing that this man would be on the Supreme Court

I read a theory that Trump knew the Dems were going to try for an FBI investigation. The Dems thought Trump would deny and they would have him but Trump did it to set a trap. When the investigation turns up nothing on Kav but emails of Ford and Judiciary members, they’re toast.

This is why the DNC spent several weeks scrubbing Ford from the internet. Several. Weeks. All the while, they sat on her story until the political timing was optimal.
But the Eff Bee Eye will dig deeper than what the dims could hide. Unfortunately, we can't trust the Eff Bee Eye so I really don't know if anything negative will come out against Ford, Feinstein, DNC. If something does drop against the communists, I will be surprised but I will have a little faith restored that there's still some integrity and honor left in the nation's premier investigatory branch.
