The difference is that every time he goes up for reelection in NJ, the voters there choose to ignore this issue and reelect him anyway. Dems choose to frame this Kavanaugh thing in the light of a "lifetime appointment." No one votes for Justices of the Supreme Court and they are there until they die or quit. That's how they managed to rouse such a furor without dragging Booker down.
