Disease can cause birth defects, madness, and a litany Of other health issues.

Why? Louisiana is largely poor and uneducated. Most don’t have access to health care, drugs are expensive. The systemic problem has led to an inbred infectious population that gives birth to syphillitic children.

Congrats to my home state!

That is a fricking joke of a lie. Healthcare for the poorest people is free. What we have are a bunch of dumbasses who refused to go get free testing and free treatment.

How is that possible? How has std proliferation continued to rise when kids are educated on the dangers of unprotected sex in school from an extremely early age? One would think that teaching them about sex so young would and it’s pitfalls would stop them from wanting to have sex earlier

1. Trashy people don’t care
2. Dating apps help slutty people find each other
3. No one likes wrapping up cause they know they are clean

I’m not from Louisiana. But when I read threads here it seems that many send their kids to private school.

Are you sure they are getting the education you believe?

I’d be willing to bet the population that is driving up this syphillus number didn’t go to private school. Just a hunch

Isn’t syphillis treated with penicillin? Maybe some posters can answer.

How much is a shot of penicillin?

Apparently though people get reinfected and some have a real stubborn strain of the stuff.

Heh

I love your mindset and how it leads you to flawed assumptions.

Even doubled, the rate is still absurdly low. If the overall rate is 16 per 100,000, that is 0.016%. These reports of rates of syphillis, gonorrhea, & chlamydia skyrocketing freaked me out when I was single, til I looked it up and saw how rare they actually were. I was assuming it was 20% of the population, like herpes or whatever.

I’m not saying it’s not a problem; I just thought it was waaaay worse based on the news.

Now you are just moving the goalposts.

STD rates are rising across the country. Whatever group you are referring to is a constant. Why would their rates rise?

I could easily point to abstinence education as a factor. Or increased testing. Or that we are better able to treat HIV. Or emergency contraception.

Your bet would be a pretty bad one.

I don’t have any assumptions. I addressed an assumption by another poster.

I know that I received sex Ed in public school. I assume that they do that in LA. But i don’t know. I relied on his assumption for that.

What i do know is that private schools or homeschooled could easily not have sex Ed or not receive the same curriculum.

Syphilis is treated with penicillin, one of the cheapest drugs available.
