Anyone who has success or a way out leaves, and then is labeled a sellout. Hardly anyone who is successful and of high quality stays to show it is a possibility.
The family dynamic is completely crushed in lower economic areas white or black. There's no dads to teach how a man is supposed to act, and most of the women are 4-6 generations into having kids in their late teens.

Dead people don’t vote and the community activists don’t care unless the death perpetuates their agenda. It is the sad and unfortunate reality of this situation.

Other than politicians, pastors, and community leaders getting notoriety and money, nobody in the community really cares. That's why it'll never be cleaned up

This isn't exactly true. There is a small percentage of this culture that doesn't value life but the rest very much do. For various reasons however, they do tolerate absentee fatherhood.
This is the real problem.
Tolerance of poor education is another contributing factor.

It's far worse among black people. Something like 75% of kids are born to single mothers vs about 25% for whites. If it were purely socioeconomic, West Virginia would be the most dangerous state in the country. It's largely a cultural problem.

BUT to start removing culcha from these areas the regular people need to stop following to the snitches get stitches ideas that they follow. Even though they dont like the crime, they dont stand up and help the people trying to rid the crime of the area. AND it doesnt help the "black leaders" dont do anything about it but blame whitey.

Most are good people like everyone else. They've just tolerated a sub culture that is counter productive and it's too late to do anything about it.
