ER needs to stay in his fricking lane. If he wants to protest for a living then go fight the good fight elsewhere. The field isn’t the place for that shite

I served in the United States Army from 98-04 I was a paratrooper in the 82nd Airborne Division. I kicked off the Iraq War. I seen a lot of things while I was over there. I lost a friend. He was hit in the head with a RPG. It would have killed 5 more had it exploded. I was on scene 20 minutes after the car bomb exploded at the UN. It leveled the side of the building. I look at kneeling for the national anthem like this. I fought for liberty. The right to stand up for yourself and your beliefs. If someone wants to make a statement about human rights or injustice or intolerance by taking a knee... Then do so with a full heart. That's what America is all about. Until people see past colors- red, blue, white and black. We will never be able to move forward as a country.

If I were an NFL player, and I were to squat like I'm taking a faux dump during the National Anthem, and then faux wiped myself, and I did it to protest US support of Israel -- would you feel the same way?

The 1968 Olympics Black Power Salute was a political demonstration conducted by African-American athletes Tommie Smith and John Carlos during their medal ceremony at the 1968 Summer Olympics in Mexico City. After Smith and Carlos won gold and bronze medals, respectively, in the 200-meter running event, they turned on the podium to face their flags, and to hear the American national anthem, "The Star-Spangled Banner". Each athlete raised a black-gloved fist, and kept them raised until the anthem had finished. In addition, Smith, Carlos, and Australian silver medalist Peter Norman all wore human rights badges on their jackets. The event is regarded as one of the most overtly political statements in the history.
During the United States' involvement in the Vietnam War, American flags were sometimes burned during war protest demonstrations.

I can tell you, speaking for three generations of my family, it is PRECISELY for men like Kaepernick, and his right to peacefully protest injustice, that we were willing to serve. Want to respect the American flag? Then respect the ideals for which it stands. Bullying language and calling peaceful protesters 'sons of bitches' who should be fired aren't among them. Does that answer your question?

Yep. And when white people point loaded guns at federal marshals (Cliven Bundy gang), white people cheer their protest.

There is a time and place for everything. Protesting while on the job in uniform is not the place. On your own time may be acceptable. It is despicable what you all have started. I am one that has lost interest in the NFL. That is my right.

I can’t tell if this post is serious or intentionally, hilariously ironic.

Like attacks against police even though they are far far lower than they were in the 70s and 80s and have only very slightly increased from the 90s and 2000 (where they were at an all time low).

Glad to hear a former Tiger is doing well. I don't follow pro football, but will always wish former Tigers well.

I would hate to see new recruits turning away from LSU because we tear down our own.

Geaux Tigers, yesterday, today, and tomorrow.

Thanks. It’s funny liberals think attacks make people back down....well y’all are finding out that is not the case. You can call me any personal attack you want. It’s against the rules but I can take you and vor sending them my way.

I don't care about him anymore since he decided to get involved in SJW politics.
