So B&B seems to be the only thing stores carry anymore and it is not all that great. Any recommendations on other brands and stores or locations that carry them.
TIA

Lump? Where are you finding it?

Costco (for a time) was selling the Kamado Joe brand lump charcoal 30 lb bag for about $22-23. I bought a bag, don't know if it is still available, but that was a great deal. The lump is actually Wicked Good Lump in the Kamado Joe bag. No matter. Great lump with lots of big pieces. It lights easily and burns well/evenly.

Fogo is by far the best lump available. They ship for free plus no tax.

I always found B&B to be pretty good. I used to get Kamado Joe brand at shoppers choice and loved it, before they closed down. Not sure when they are reopening and where they are moving to.

I’ve used Cowboy, B&B and Ozark Oak. Ozark was by slowest burning, longest lasting but it was also the most expensive. B&B was pretty good and Cowboy seemed to contain a bunch of construction debris.

IMO Fogo leaves too much of a charcoal aftertaste in the food, like when you cook before the charcoal has burned long enough. Royal Oak lump from Home Depot is the best I've found.
