You omitted Group C: The folks who claim Coach O is an ignorant, incompetent, buffoon who doesn't fit their stereotype as a model coach. Regardless of wins and losses they want him fired and if LSU has to lose football games to make it happen.....Fine.
That group is documented to include 2 people, they are irrelevant to any actual discussion outside of being used as a boogeyman.

I agree that the team has not really played like a top 5 team. Top 5 teams should be more consistent and the ranking is, as it frequently is this early, more of a function of who they've played and who has lost each week.

and it's only a matter of time before the wheels come off.
I don't agree with this though. I was worried before the season that this was a possibility, but am less so now. Highly unlikely they go undefeated, and still more likely they go 9-3 than 11-1. But I don't think the wheels will fall off in a 7-5 kind of way.
Defense is good, not great. Offense is average to below average. I wouldn't be thrilled with 9-3 from a record standpoint, but if they manage three losses with two to teams they were "supposed to lose to" from the outset of the season it wouldn't be terrible.

Sounds like you're more of a Group B guy.

You people will never be happy long as O is the coach regardless how LSU performs.
Another ridiculous baseless claim.

Group C is much smaller than you think it is.

This season just feels just like the 2015 season. We jumped out 7-0 with LF7 running through everybody and completely ignored our issues on offense.
I understand the 2015 comparison, but disagree. In 2015, we were truly one dimensional with an all-world running back. This year... not so much. We certainly have room for improvement on offense, but there have been portions of games where I was impressed with our offense (both running and passing). I see it as a work in progress. Others see it as a shite show.
The disputes arise not from the differing viewpoints, but from certain ranters claiming their viewpoint is somehow "objective" or "intellectually" superior. Those posters predicted failure against Miami and Auburn. Those posters are predicting future failure.
As a Tiger fan, I want them to be wrong again.

It also seems as if Aranda takes the foot off the pedal some and allows others to catch up (obviously the catch up part is not intentional). but when we play softer, others catch up....we do not maintain.
Teams catching up require both offense and defense to "take their foot off the pedal".
When you're up 24-0, and that lead gets narrowed to 24-21 it's not just the defense that has let the opponent back into the game.

The undefeated 2018 LSU Fighting Tigers are going to meet a very fired-up Ole Miss Bear who use to be a Rebel under the lights in LSU Tiger Stadium Saturday, September 29, 2018, 8:15 PM ESPN.

NO!
thats literally what I just said. This message board in no way shape or form is representative of the fanbase at large.
most LSU fans just want to show up on Saturday and watch some LSU football. They don't care about what O said on his radio show, or what comment Marcus Spears or Booger McFarland made on Paul Finebaum talking down about LSU. They don't care about where LSU ranks in the SEC in yards per carry or passing yards per game. They simply want to show up and watch LSU play. and thats fine. I am totally ok with people who dont want to come online and talk LSU football day in, day out and are simply content watching on Saturday.
