Lindsay Graham: "a bureaucratic coup against President Trump is being uncovered"

Interesting comments especially given that Graham certainly hasn't been one of Trump's most staunch supporters. Throw in Graham's line of questioning at the Kavanaugh hearings and that REALLY makes this interesting.

Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., alleged Sunday that there is a “bureaucratic coup” being uncovered following reporting last week that Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein discussed trying to oust President Trump. The New York Times reported Friday that Rosenstein considered rallying Cabinet members to invoke the 25th Amendment to the Constitution and offered to wear a wire to record his conversations with the president. Rosenstein has denied he considered such actions and follow-up reports have indicated that he was being sarcastic when bringing up the secret recording. Graham told “Fox News Sunday” that Trump should not fire the top Justice Department official unless he believes Rosenstein is lying.
quote:
“He said he did not do the things alleged, but there is a bureaucratic coup against President Trump being discovered here,” Graham said. “Before the election, the people in question tried to taint the election, tip it to [Hillary] Clinton’s favor. After the election, they’re trying to undermine the president.” Graham cited former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe, Justice Department official Bruce Ohr, former FBI agent Peter Stzrok and former FBI lawyer Lisa Page’s actions as evidence of government officials trying to undermine Trump. “They tried to destroy this president,” he said. “If Rosenstein is involved, he should be fired. If he is not involved, leave him alone … There's a bureaucratic coup going on at the department of justice and the FBI and somebody needs to look at it.”

Gee... what took Sweet Lindsey so long to figure this out? I guess he had to take McCuck’s dick out of his mouth to see clearly.
And it’s a coup. It doesn’t matter from where it comes.

Just think, if Lester Holt hadn't have doctored the tape of that interview, this whole Russier thing would have been over a year ago

I have always like Graham - even when he took stances (primarily on immigration) that I vehemently disagree with.
I have never thought of him as a back-stabber like McCain or any DEMOCRAT you can name. I have never thought of him as being duplicious - I have never been deceived by him - he has always voted the way he advertises he will vote. I have never suspected him of plotting against his opponents in nefarious ways.
I do not understand the revulsion toward Graham. He has certainly shed his opposition to Trump he had throughout the primary season. Just as I have. I think Graham would defend Trump against any scurrilous attack. I would not expect Graham to go against principle to defend Trump where it is unwarranted.
Just like with the antipathy toward Trey Gowdy - it sounds like noises coming from an unthinking cult.

Welcome to the party, Lindsey. It’s only been obvious for a year now. The Bongino show should be mandatory listening for al GOPs. Dan might not be the be all end all, but this whole fbi investigation, legal blah blah is what he knows backwards & forwards. And between him, carter and Solomon, I don’t think they’ve been wrong yet.

He’s been a different guy since McCain went down for the count. Which is also about the same time that it started to become obvious that Trump knew wtf he was doing and was doing it. Props to Lindsey for not being too proud to grab a coat. The only time he says anything neg about POTUS now is when Trump gets a little too crazy on Twitter. Which is understandable and I can live with that

I really don't think McCain influenced him - they were friends.
As I said earlier, I have always felt Graham was just adhering to his principles - like everyone should.
For instance, Graham was not influenced by McCain on the Obamacare repeal vote.
I think he is - and always has been - a standup guy. That's about as good as it gets in DC these days.

Any chance he could be hanged for treason and executed?

I've thought from the start of TRUMP's campaigning that the deep state would be actively trying to undermine him.
And with as much shite as they do right put in the open, brazenly (and get away with it), it would probably blow our minds to actually see how deep the roots go, and what they're doing behind the scenes.
Is RR deep state? Or was he actually being candidly sarcastic and a deep stater was there and is using this against him now? And what about Graham? He's been known to absolutely reek of swamp but now he offers up this suggestion which neither supports nor calls out RR:
There are too many forces at work here. And the anti-Trump alliance of evils is setting narratives and yet having secret underlying narratives not the same as the original. Do we trust Graham when he's reeked of swamp lately? Or was that a false flag. Do we trust RR? Sara Carter seems to be convinced by her inside info lately that RR is just doing his job and is now a threat to the deep state, so they're false flagging yet again to set Trump up into firing him.
Deep state is deep. And playing this really well. Scary stuff.

You have to wonder if McCain had some dirt on Graham.

I still don't know if I trust Graham. I think he is saying this because he wants to continue his career in SC.
