And the Twins throw it away, naturally.

Wow As might actually squander a bases loaded 1 out inning. Chapman is up though.

Wow a wild pitch wins the game.

An error gets Piscotty to 3rd and a wild pitch scored him.

Piscotty has all the good karma after his mother died of ALS. I'm not even joking.

No, Tooth. Don't even think it. We are not going to sacrifice Correa's mother.

Oh his mother you say? I happen to be thinking of someone else...

To a certain degree, I’m somewhat glad the A’s are making us work for it, but I’ve had enough.

I’d appreciate a nice five-game losing streak by Oakland.

Yes, Straw is this year’s playoff roster Fisher, but w much better defense

Would love to have Straw off the bench but won’t Marisnick be taking that role? Only reason Fisher was on the roster last postseason is because Jake was hurt

Jake’s performance at the plate, or lack thereof, could put his roster spot at risk.

Straw is faster, can steal bases better, and play CF. If you are looking for a pinch run base stealing specialist, and the bat is neglible, I think Straw is your man.

For someone as slow acting as Hinch historically is, he sure has been forcing Straw into some situations here lately.

I love looking at the 1-run and extra innings records across the MLB and crying at the same time because of how annoying it is to have the As and Mariners in our division this season.

It's a great question. How many bench guys will be carried? We suspect 14 position players total so who is on the pine?

Altuve
Correa
Bregs
Springer
Gurriel
Marwin
tKing
Reddickmehhhhhhhhhhhhhh
Jake
mini-King
McCann
Maldy
Gattis
Straw or Stassi

The 3rd catcher idea is cute but why not give Gattis a couple of games in the Orioles series after we clinch so he can again be the emergency catcher? It makes sense because he isn't going to start at DH ahead of tKing.

FWIW when discussing playoff rosters over the next week, keep in mind we went with 11 pitchers and 14 position players for ALDS while doing 12/13 for ALCS and WS

If we are going with same strategy as last year...

3 catchers

Bmac
Maldo
Stassi (ugh)

Infielders

Yuli
Tuve
Correa
Bregs
Marwin

Outfielders

Springer
Reddick
Kemp
Jake

White would be 13th. Not sure how they plan on handling Gattis. Maybe he’d be 14th for ALDS and then not on roster if we go any further? Either way I’d prefer Straw over him but I’m not counting on it

Once we carry 13 position players I def don’t see there being any room for Straw unless there are injuries

JV
Cole
DK
Morton
Lance
Jabroni
Peacock
Rondon (need him fixed ASAP)
Pressly
Smith
Sipp
Osuna

^That’s 12 pitchers. I’m assuming if we carry 11 for ALDS we’d leave off one of the long relievers. We’ve gotta see Lance pitch sometime the next week though right?

I would be pretty surprised if we carry 3 catchers this year. That was pretty much because Gattis would also DH last year.
