I would hope that they have access to real trial attorneys. To listen the these jokers ask "questions" which are comprised of a 10 minute speech and then an, "Am I correct?" at the end is just horrible.
I remember watching Arlen Specter truly cross-examine Anita Hill. It was very effective. I'm not sure that in today's "me too" world a male can get away with that kind of cross-examination. But one need not be nasty to effectively cross-examine - in fact being nasty is not really effective at all.
I spend hours preparing a cross-examination of my opponent in every jury case I try. If it's done correctly, there's nothing like it. If it's botched, throw in the towel because you lose the jury.
Someone needs to carefully craft questions that require a "yes" or "no" answer and hold the witness to answer accordingly.
This is my wish, I doubt it will happen.

I get the impression that the Republicans are calling her bluff. A few days ago she didn't even want to be identified, and now she has to get grilled publicly with the entire country watching?

Guarantee that the Dems ask Kavanaugh will also take a polygraph. He of course would be insane to agree to something like that and will say no.
