I agree. An offensive repeat from the Miles era.

The stuff he and Flynn are saying I feel is spot on. But they'll be labelled as negas

different coaches and different players, yes I expected something different

If you watch the game and see the left defensive end run by our right tackle repeatedly. Then run through out right tackle and a running back sent to help. I challenge you to explain that has anything to do with scheme.
You guys want spread and throw it around. You have to have an offensive line that can block. We have not had one for several years. This is not new.

Sadly, a lot of people did.

He was piggybacking on what Matt Flynn said last week and during the game, going max protect is an offense killer.
Well, looks like SE plans to do a lot of that this weekend on the plains. I find it hard to believe he would acknowledge anything from the second half of SLU. One of the worst offensive performances in LSU history.

What needs to be cleaned up on offense as you open SEC play this weekend against Auburn? Ensminger: "We have to do a good job of helping the offensive line, maybe with our (running backs) chipping. We did a little bit in the second half (vs. Southeastern). Including our tight ends in the pass protection.

Is it really different coaches? They just fired Miles and replaced him with an unqualified position coach who kept a good majority of the staff in place.

It’s execution of the scheme. LSU is running formations, plays, route concepts, and pass protections that every team in the country uses. It just comes down to whether the players can execute it. The OL is struggling to do that and it’s bogging the entire offense down.

But O only hires the best coordinators.
How can the best coordinator run a bad scheme?

Also....reserve a big spot on the bench for Traore, he's horrible. The DE was beating him routinely

His explanation of why it was scheme was quite a reach. The issue is because of the o line sucking and burrow having a relatively slow wind up and release.
He wants us to run a spread air raid and do more quick passes. While I agree, Burrow’s release will get a shite load of those balls picked off, not to mention that if the WR don’t get open, it just puts our defense on the field more quickly.
I want more spread up tempo stuff, but at the moment with the o line struggles, those concepts will get joe killed by game 4-5.

You know teams also run spread to hide OL issues right. Go 5 wide quick passes and don’t make the line block for long. It also pulls those extra defenders out of the box.

No you don't, because you keep less people rushing when you send 4 and 5 receivers out. It also gives the QB many targets to get the ball to quickly.
When you have a bad O line, only sending 2 receivers is basically the worst thing you could do.

TBob made some good points this morning in that opening segment on why it doesn't make sense that our retarded OC is calling 5,6,7,8 man protection schemes, but if you think Joe Burrow, Nick Brossette, our weak OLine, and young WR core is going to compete in the SEC, I'd like to sell you some ocean front property in North Louisiana.

I think the line issues are mostly the players (3 starters out), but scheme could help circumvent the problem. Too often, the WR’s were running routes which took more time to develop than the qb had time to make his reads and throw. They need to counter the pass rush with quick slants and 5-10 yard out routes. Screen passes every now and then are great too because they make the defense think twice about blitzing.
The ofher issue is that when Burrow does have time, his recievers aren’t getting seperation.

Have you watched the hits he's taken with "max protect?"
