if you're a dem it's both, they never have a problem talking out of both sides of their mouth.

Typical democrat double standard.

They have even started to talk about gas prices.

Lucky for them their base is so economically illiterate they can say both and none of them will even notice.

Since when has intellectual honesty mattered to "Progressives"?

Obama - "My economy."
Obama - "Trump's Syria."
Obama - "Trump's Syria."

They roll out former Pres. Obama to stump for their ticket and they still can't figure out their message!!
You have to actually decide to ignore facts in order to believe the story.

chalmette, not sure if you are serious, or not.
Unemployment Going Down
I am fairly certain that unemployment rates mainly that "bottom" group you are talking about. Unemployment does not change overall when a semi-retired guy accepts a CEO position.

The concept of doublethink, or newsspeak, is the ability to hold two completely contradictory thoughts simultaneously while believing both of them to be true. It is the cornerstone of the party in 1984.
Here is a sentence a Democrat would have no problem saying:
Trump has immediately ruined an economy that was great 2 years ago that Obama made great but it was a terrible economy Obama left two years ago because of the left over policies that George Bush had in place because no president can immediately influence an economy but Trump immediately destroyed an economy that is so bad right now that is currently the best ever in American history thanks to Obama Era policies that are being rolled back to the detriment of the booming economy that didn't start to grow until Trump took office thanks to Obama.
Figure that one out.

Well... it was bad under Bush, Obama came in a fixed it, making it the best economy we've ever had, and then Trump came in and is ruining it.

Obama meant to say “Now, Okay, uh to the extent that the economy is booming, and I’m not saying that it is, you know, but to the extent that it is, uh, that’s a direct result of my administration’s policies. But in fact, the economy may very well not be doing so hot anyway, so there’s that. You know.”
