and that's giving auburn all the respect they deserve. I believe they are top 10.

it won't be a shocker if we win at Jordan hare with this football team. Not with this defense and Joe burrow at qb.

let joe throw! Let joe throw! and please, coaching staff, if the same wide receivers are dropping balls vs SELU, please let them ride the pine.

Gus is not a good coach.

LSU has only won twice at JHS this century. It's always a shocker when LSU wins there.

If we can continue what we did in the second half in the game last year we will beat Auburn. We have a better D and QB.

This team definitely has the potential to be better than Auburn. I see LSU winning by 3.

Tiger Stadium vs JHS makes a world of difference though.

Man AU is really good and people don’t realize how good UW is. Plus it was first game. That Defense for AU is sick. Peterson coached teams just don’t get held down like that when he has an experienced qb who’s been with him a few years. Oline must improve two folds or we lose by 10!

We passed the point of no return on that probably a month ago.

I definitely agree, Ben. I think where I have some pause though is that they're going to need to play a good bit better than Auburn to win at Jordan-Hare.

Exactly. LSU's only wins there in the last 20 years are a 26-21 win over a 5-7 Auburn team and a 12-10 win over a 3-9 Auburn team.

That does not inspire confidence.

LSU has won two of its last five games at Auburn and they needed divine intervention to win the last time we played there. Jordan Hare is tough, but it's not some LSU torture chamber. We've done pretty well there, considering.

Ya all I’m hoping for is better Oline play and a sick game by our D. Maybe we can keep it close and who knows what happens if it’s a close game late. Stidham is so good and thatD is even better.

Anyone have any insight as to how Kevin Steele was able to produce such a great defense at Auburn, but he was not really given a chance here?

Yep. The potential is there, but it's going to take a very well played game to leave there with a victory.

There are 2 things that largely go unmentioned that are very big for this team.
1) Burrow is a grad student and can devote untold hours of the day to football comparied to a fulltime undergrad student.
2) there are double the number of analysts on the staff compared to previous years.

Combine those with what looks to be solid leadership on this team, and you have a team that should look more prepared week in and week out during the season. Will it mean a win in JH? Who knows, but we have a better chance now than the last couple trips to the Plains...

LSU has only won 6 times in JHS, and 4 of those came against teams with a losing record.

Historically, LSU does not fare well against good Auburn teams in that stadium. Hopefully Orgeron and co. can buck that trend.
