Nicholls State is fresh off a trip to the FCS playoffs and a win at Kansas. I think they are ranked 11 in the FCS right now. All around just a solid team, playmakers on offense, good offensive and defensive lines, and Fourcade is an accurate quarterback. Tim Rebowe is an outstanding coach that should be getting calls from FBS programs. They will be ready to play.

Tulane in 2017 showed potential but struggled to finish a lot of games. Week 1 vs Wake Forest was more of the same, a hard fought game but ultimately a loss in overtime. Tulane wasn’t bad but I wouldn’t say good either. They have a talented front 7, depth at tailback, and Encalade is a beast. The secondary is poo water, the O line didn’t look good, and QB play is inconsistent.

This is an interesting matchup but I’m going with the homer pick in a close game. Tulane has some problems but not like Kansas does.

Regardless of the outcome, you have to give Rebowe props. Nicholls wasn't even a dumpster fire when he got there.

Tulane should be able to beat Nicholls. With Tulane coming off a hard loss CWF should have the team wanting to go in dry on Nicholls. This is no dig at the colonels but if Tulane does not win this game..... CWF should apologize to the fan base.... all 39 of us.

Man, if he picks up that playbook quickly, how does he not start midway through the season or so? His arm talent has to be way better than what Banks has. I know it's an option offense, but Tulane beats the brakes off Wake if Banks is able to throw an accurate ball.

But...then again...with that offensive line, they might need the more adept runner back there.

However, this should be a good game. Would not surprise me if the Colonels win, as they have the better quarterback in the match up.

Tulane used Huderson way to much in my opinion. Dauphine should have touched the ball more. I dont remember any shovel passes. Tulane could have beaten Wake but played to conservative at times.

That’s the problem I have with Ruse, is he can be too conservative. consistently wants to run that dive play up the arse, no matter what. That only works when Tulane has an overwhelming talent advantage which they don’t have against most FBS teams. He needs to be creative all the time, that misdirection triple option to Encalade was pretty frickin sweet but then they bog down and kill the drive.

There wasn’t even a dumpster. It was so bad. Can’t express enough what a great job Rebowe has done. You could see it even in his first season.

It would be crazy if Nicholls were to win..Just don't seeing it happening...Nicholls' OT win over Kansas should have "caught the attention" of the Greenies..that will be pressed in their heads...although everyone knows Kansas is the absolute worst P5 program around...Heck John Curtis would probably beat Kansas..

I don't see Nicholls winning this. Kansas is something awful.

The Nicholls game went to overtime, but they were better than the overtime indicated. The offensive and defensive lines for Nicholls completely controlled the game. I don’t know if they win this Saturday but it will at least be a competitive game.

If Jonathan Banks plays well Tulane wins in a rout. If he doesn't it might get dicey.
