If AJ McCarron goes for a 5th, Teddy for a 3rd is highway robbery

Looked at the thread title and came to tell you that Teddy was at least 2 round better than McCarron. But I see that is what you meant. I agree wholeheartedly.

it will be highway robbery if he doesn't resign with the team

If he doesn’t re sign and we don’t win a super bowl we got robbed. Let me add and he doesn’t play meaningful snaps.

When u look at value in next yrs draft, u ain’t getting a talent like Teddy in 3rd round

Again, the problem with the Teddy deal is that it is very likely he walks and we have nothing to show next offseason

The Saints acquired Bridgewater with designs on setting up the future for him, I mean Payton pretty much said that. He ain't going no where, Loomis will definitely sign him to a deal.

And that deal will cripple the team. Are we going to have $50M committed to the Qb position in 2019? Or are we going to cut Brees?

You know for sure that a team will give teddy 25 mil per?
You are overvaluing teddy big time.

The Raiders are fricking stupid trading for McCarron.

There's a little thing called backloading, so even if Teddy gets $25 mil per, he won't be on the cap for $25 mil next year.
They'll figure it out. They didn't do this with no plan in place.

Teddy was paid 6mil this year by NY Jets, was likely the highest paid team with a deficiency at QB.
People honestly think there's going to be a team paying him 25mil next year? Get fricking real

I know they will pay more than we will if he hits the market. It's a starter contract (20m at minimum), franchise tag (similar), or walk.

No one knew if he was even gonna be able to play coming off his injury. It's now clear that he can, that he is close to what he was before, and now he will spend the next year under Payton and Brees. He is absolutely going to command starter money after this season. Sam Bradford just got 20 million.

And I ask by what team?
There's a lot more qb needy teams this year than than there theoretically should be this upcoming year.

Dude Teddy will get like 12-15 mil. No team, with his injury history, is giving him 20 mil per year. This is reality
