Am I the only one who thinks this White Hart Lane scheduling fiasco is bullshite?

Spurs can’t build a stadium on time so Watford flips league fixtures to accommodate them and now Wolves get fricked with a game in Milton-Keynes.
Am I crazy for thinking that if a club can’t handle its own affairs in a timely manner they should be punished and not given all this leeway to accommodate them?

frick Spurs. If you’re unable to build your stadium on time you should be punished for it. Don’t have everyone else bending over backwards for your own wrongdoings.

I mean, frick Neymar, but no you aren't the only one. I agree, and would be pissed if I were on the other side.

I mean, what would you have them do instead? The team has contingencies in place in case there were delays. Now they're using them.
Comes with building on the same site as WHL. Better solution than moving to a different site across the city like a bunch of nomads IMO.

Well, IMO, you should have to forfeit (not lose 3-0, but give up the home match) any home matches passed what the original finish date was.
It’s bullshite that opposing sides are having to accommodate them because they hire incompetent contractors.

Also, you ever think in may be the General Contractors fault and not the actual club's?
In almost every single construction contract the general contractor has to pay some sort of penalty for every day the project goes over schedule. I'm sure they're losing whatever bonuses they had planned for this.

Why? There's perfectly viable alternate venues to play at. We're not inconveniencing Watford as far as I know. They wouldn't have flipped the league fixture if it was too much of a problem and we'd be playing in Wembley. For the league cup, they have to travel to MK instead of NL now. Big deal. There's no advantage.

How do you know the contractors are incompetent? Delays happen. That's life. You hope for the best, but prepare for the worst. And Spurs has. I'm sure Spurs are pissed and are getting a nice check from the contractors for not meeting the deadline.

Burnley switched the home game with Liverpool a few years ago when Liverpool was still finishing the new main stand and it worked out quite nicely for them....before the season they were heavy relegation favorites but their impressive home form kept them up.
Burnley 2-0 over Liverpool
I will add, I have no problem with it for willing participants, and the main issue here is that Wembley isn't available. Were Wembley the sight, no problem.
I don't think they should have to forfeit, but if an "equal or equivalent venue" cannot be arranged, I think it should switch to the away sides stadium.

I work in construction management.
It is the GC’s fault, but they were hired by the club. You get what you pay for in this industry.

But why not before the draw just say Tottenham cannot even possibly host a match so whomever they draw gets the home game?
It makes no sense that Spurs were even allowed to go into the draw with the possibility of hosting the game.

This is a billion dollar project.
I'm pretty sure there are only a handful of contractors in the world who deal with this level of venue construction.
With that being said, shite happens. This was always on the cards and is actually going pretty smoothly when you really think about it.

Alright I'll give you that one.
But both teams still share the revenue 50/50 from a game that is still played at a neutral site.

Minus the stadium part, this is really the same thing as a team making a late run in the cup where they have to reschedule their league game because it falls on the same day.
It happens every single year and the team that they're playing against are inconvenienced. It happens.

Tottenham dives again.
And yet again the EPL awards them the penalty.

What a bunch of whiney little bitches.

This has happened numerous times with stadium builds. It’s not some new phenomenon with Spurs.
Also, are you in the Dallas area? Curious who you work for.

Yes, Dallas.
And I will not mention whom I work for
