Am I crazy for thinking that if a club can’t handle its own affairs in a timely manner they should be punished and not given all this leeway to accommodate them?
frick Spurs. If you’re unable to build your stadium on time you should be punished for it. Don’t have everyone else bending over backwards for your own wrongdoings.

quote:most definitely. I think the reason Madrid probably changed him more than any other clubs is the pressure that comes with that job.
But he clearly has had some issues with his players/team the last few years. I'm starting to believe his time in Madrid changed him, and not necessarily in a good way.
I mean sure, Inter is a big club but nowhere near the type of job Real is. He basically made Chelsea, and Porto is a big Portuguese team not a big worldwide team.

he's just been unlucky with some of the personalities he's coaching?
I think this could be a factor in it, I mean he has managed/is managing some huge personalities. I’d like to say that this is just a downturn in form and there’s nothing to worry about, but this is a trend, so we more than likely know where it ends.
* I’d also like to note that if Pep wasn’t lighting the world on fire at City, he would be arguably the most secure man in the world right now as far as job security goes.
quote:I hate to have to defend Jose here, simply because he shouldn’t need defending based on his record, but the man has won literally everywhere he’s gone.
he is incredibly overrated as a manager
8 league titles
• 3 in England
• 2 in Italy
• 2 in Portugal
• 1 in Spain
2 Champions League titles
• Porto
• Inter
2 Europa League titles
• Porto
• Manchester United
That’s not even including his domestic titles, of which there are plenty.
• 2 for Porto
• 4 for Chelsea (including Community Shield)
• 2 for Inter
• 2 for Real Madrid
• 1 for Chelsea (second stint)
• 2 for United (including Community Shield)
This notion by people that Mourinho is an awful manager is so naive. Mourinho is one of the best managers of the 21st century, and could very well go down as top 10 all time. That’s not opinion, that’s facts.
Yes, he does do some absolutely insane things and make you shake your head at times, but the man knows what he’s doing.
quote:I was actually excited by his hire. He’s a proven winner and one hell of a character. You either love him or hate him, and I personally love him and his antics.
The day he was hired by United was a sad day for me
