Crossbows have always been legal for the handicapped and that has never been the argument.

I guess all of the crossbow haters are only shooting traditional bows. No way they use $1000 compounds.

I dont think I've ever seen a argument against them that holds water if they aren't trying to reduce harvest

Vertical bows are harder to get the shot off accurately. The range is the same. It just requires more practice to shoot vertical well.

It depends on what part of archery you place more emphasis/pride in. If it is pride in weapons proficiency then yes go vertical. If it is getting them into a limited range, crossbow is fine.

yup, i'm more proud that i can consistently get within 40 yards of a deer than i am shooting with a vertical bow. I lost two deer and could no longer group worth a shite beyond 20 yards because of how my eyes focus in glasses. didn't feel comfortable shooting when i'm not sure i can hit. switched to crossbow and it didn't do anything to make me kill more deer. i can honestly say that i havent killed a deer with my crossbow that i wouldn't have killed with my compound before my eyes went south.
